Council Members Kevin C. Riley, Amanda Farías, and Shirley Aldebol recently honored Heriberto “Eddie” Miranda of NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi’s Stand Up to Violence (SUV) with a New York City Council Proclamation during a Gun Violence Awareness Month event at City Hall.

Eddie was recognized for his decades of service, mentorship, and leadership in violence prevention across the Bronx, supporting countless young people and families and helping to build safer, healthier communities.

We are proud of Eddie and the entire SUV team, and grateful to Council Members Riley, Farías, and Aldebol for their partnership and continued commitment to community-based solutions to end violence.
