Our team from Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein is excited to join pediatric leaders from across the country for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference and Exhibition. Looking forward to learning, collaborating, sharing our work, and bringing new ideas back to the children and families we serve.

New Faculty Alert! Dr. Lily Rabinow recently joined the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein.

During her fellowship, Dr. Rabinow completed the Interdisciplinary Substance Use Disorder Fellowship Program in the Montefiore Department of Internal Medicine Division of Addiction Medicine and sponsored
by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). In addition to her clinical work in the Adolescent Medicine Specialty Practice and rounding on the Adolescent Medicine Inpatient service, Dr. Rabinow will be starting a consultation service for adolescents with substance use
disorders.

Our and staff had a great time at Camp Spinnaker in New Hampshire, for our seventh annual !

Children with persistent asthma requiring daily medications and their families joined Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein pediatric asthma specialist, Dr.
Karen Warman and volunteers for the trip. The group enjoyed camp activities including arts&crafts, water activities, team sports, and more. Each day there was also an age-appropriate asthma educational component.

Special thanks to all who supported this trip within our Department including Dr. Karen Warman and Dr. Suzette Oyeku from Academic General Pediatrics, Zenaida Murray, LPN our Asthma Outreach Nurse and Zebra Crossings!

Congratulations Dr. Jonathan Gabbay and team (which also includes our own Dr. Allison Pressimone and Dr. Hemen Muleta) on their recently published original research, further evaluating children with medical complexity who are hospitalized.

Children’s hospitals are caring for children with increasing medical complexity, who have unique and varied needs. We are fortunate to have faculty doing this important work and research so that we can all provide the best care for children!
