💥 It's almost time for !! 💥

3 days left to set those goals to kick off 2021 - head to to join the challenge and check out all the info and FAQ

This will be my third year participating in this challenge and the big theme is to TRY
My goals:
🦈 Try NEW: I'm committing to at least 15-20 minutes of movement first thing in the morning. I loved doing this with yoga this summer but want to use the time to try out new types of activity (pilates anyone?)
🦈 Try NOW: I'm going to complete my first draft of a fitness foundations guide- been wanting to tackle this one for a while so I can offer it to all of you beginning your fitness journey! I never put a deadline on it before which is why this project has been dragging on but 66 days on the clock starting 1/1!
🦈 Try HARD: Track those macros! If you've been following me for a little while you know this is something I do a couple of times a year for a few months to remind myself about portion sizes and what my body feels like when I'm eating in a balanced way. After a couple of months it becomes a habit and I can eat this way intuitively for 6 or so months when I do another month or two to refresh. I'll be jumping back on the train 1/1 and sticking with it through the end of this challenge

Will you be joining the challenge this year?
If so, drop me a comment or shoot me a DM to let me know- I'd love to support you and become your accountability buddy (accountabilibuddy?) sometimes I need someone to keep me on track too 👀

I'll post my previous goals from these challenges on my stories but some of them include
💪 doing 5 unassisted pull-ups
💪 burning 800 active calories/day (not during rest days but days where I'm working out)

LET'S DO THIS!

What are you doing today to get you where you want to go?

Every day is an opportunity. Use it wisely and don't let it pass you by.

If your goal is to get stronger, faster, leaner, that doesn't mean don't take rest days.

Rest days are opportunities for recovery, healing, relaxation- all very necessary while training.

It's when those rest days pile up and we end up in a continuous cycle of "I'll do it tomorrow" that they become a problem (trust me I just did that for almost 2 weeks and feel reallllllllly funky)

Today, and most days for the foreseeable future, I'll be jumping on the bike to up my cardio and push myself towards my goal of leaning out and dropping some fat. That's what I am working on 🚲

How will you use this day to propel yourself forward in your journey?

How many of us have said "I'll start Monday"?

Well it's Monday, baby!! Whatever it is that you want to achieve- get after it!

Getting started towards a goal can be tough. A lot of times we see it as all or nothing- especially if those goals are related to creating healthy eating habits or exercising. It doesn't have to be! Start this Monday by taking your first steps towards what you want to achieve.

Want to eat more balanced meals?
Plan out a few for the week and hit the grocery store with a plan (hint: it doesn't have to be for EVERY meal but a start)

Want to make exercising part of your daily routine but right now it isn't?
Put 3 workouts into your schedule for the week- make space for them, make it happen.

You're the only one that can make yourself get after something and if you really want it you will. So start today, if not for any other reason, do it because it's Monday and you told yourself you would.

⤵️ Drop a comment with what you're getting after this week and I'll cheer you on! Sometimes a little external accountability can make a big difference- let's do it together.

🎥 - ty for this and making me look like a badass

Think about your goals. Now, think about last week. Think about August. Did you do anything in the last week or the last month to move yourself in the direction to achieve those goals?

Last day of the month calls for reflection and some preparation for the next one. Helps me feel like time isn't just slipping away, month-over-month, in this semi-lockdown world we currently find ourselves in.

I encourage you to join me in looking forward, looking at the week and the month ahead, and asking ourselves: What can I do this week to get me closer to where I want to be? What small tasks can I add to each day or to each week that will push me over the edge? How am I going to SHOW UP?

I've found the things I want most aren't just going to fall into my lap. You have to go out there and get them.

What are you working towards?

“You are not working from home; you are at home during a crisis trying to work.”

Been reminding myself of this quote daily. Things are bananas right now and you do not need to be doing everything you normally do, you do not need to be more productive because you’re at home, you do not need to torture yourself! I’ve found it helpful to have one thing I do every day to have at least a single part that feels “routine”. yes, that something is new (yoga) but it isn’t something that is going to add stress to my day. 20 min of yoga first thing when I wake up. It’s not a lot of time, but has allowed me to feel much more grounded going into each day.

My normal workout regimen is trashed, my new top & lulu leggings are covered in dirt, my workplace laid off half its employees, I have a new role and responsibilities, all I want to eat is sweets, oh and the world feels like it’s ending. This stuff builds up! All we can do is breathe, take each day as it is, and try to stay sane- how are you doing it?
