I had no idea the stats were this high when I became 1 in 3.
My midwife didn’t make me feel safe. I experienced lack of consent for unwanted physical touch, no consent for several treatments, and medical gaslighting.
I was let down by a system that was never created to protect and care for us the way we need and deserve.
You matter. Your feelings of emotional and physical safety and respect matter. Your trauma is real even if others don’t understand it.
