Last week’s PAMA conference offered a welcome opportunity to step away from the hamster wheel of day to day work and spend time learning, reconnecting, and exchanging ideas with colleagues. Believe it or not, it was my first Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) conference, having attended only IADMS events before last week.
I loved the opportunities I had to reconnect with colleagues I know and meet several who I have admired from afar. I was also thrilled to support my fellow Westside Dance PT and Johns Hopkins Rehab Network colleagues who presented a poster on a shockwave case study and research on the effects of early specialization in dance.
The days passed quickly, and although I wasn’t able to catch up with everyone I had wanted to, I returned to the clinic on Monday inspired. Congrats to everyone who made this conference a success!
