Headache by 3 or 4 p.m. at your desk—but perfectly fine on weekends? That pattern probably isn’t random. 💻🤕

Hours of leaning toward a screen can load the upper joints of your neck and force the small muscles at the base of your skull to work continuously. As the tension builds, pain may travel into your head, temples, or behind your eyes.

In other words, the headache may be coming from your neck—not your eyes, your coffee, or simply “stress.”

The most effective approach often combines restoring proper neck movement with better monitor positioning, short posture breaks, and exercises that help your neck support your head more efficiently.

A headache that follows your work schedule is giving you a clue. Don’t just mute it—look for the mechanical source.

Herbs and spices have been nature's pharmacy for centuries. You don't need a prescription to enjoy many of their benefits. Many of them are far more biologically active than we sometimes realize.

Here are 9 powerful herbs and spices worth getting to know.
🌿 Turmeric - Rich in curcumin, one of the most studied plant compounds for supporting a healthy inflammatory response and antioxidant defenses.

🫚 Ginger - Traditionally used for digestion and nausea, with compounds such as gingerols that also have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.

🤎 Cinnamon - More than a flavoring. Research suggests cinnamon may help support healthy glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity.

🌱 Oregano - Contains carvacrol and thymol, compounds known for antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Oregano has a long history of use for digestive and immune support.

🌿 Neem - Used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. Its plant compounds have been studied for antimicrobial, antioxidant, metabolic, and skin-supporting properties.

🌿 Wormwood - Traditionally used for digestive support and as part of herbal protocols targeting intestinal organisms. It is potent, however, and isn't an herb I'd recommend using indiscriminately or long-term.

🫐 Berberine - One of my favorites and one of the better-studied botanical compounds. Found in plants such as barberry, berberine has research behind its effects on glucose metabolism, insulin sensitivity, lipids, the gut microbiome, and metabolic health.

🌱 Cardamom - Traditionally used to support digestion and freshen breath, while its aromatic phytochemicals provide antioxidant activity.

🌸 Clove - Exceptionally rich in eugenol and other antioxidant compounds. Traditionally used for digestive and oral health support.

The interesting part? Some of the most useful compounds in natural medicine have been sitting in our kitchens for generations.

Food isn't medicine in the literal sense, and herbs aren't automatically safe simply because they're natural. But there is a fascinating amount of pharmacology hiding in the plant world. 🌿

Which of these, or perhaps the other ones I didn't list here, do you already use regularly?

Ever notice your lower back only bothers you when you're sitting — and eases up the second you start walking? You're not imagining it, and it's probably not "just disc pressure" like you've been told.

Two things are usually going on: your pelvis tilts back when you sit for long stretches, flattening your spine's natural curve, and your hip flexors slowly tighten from all that hip flexion — which then yanks your pelvis out of place the moment you stand back up. That's often the pinch you feel getting out of your chair.

The good news: this responds well to a combination approach — correcting the joint restriction that's built up, plus practical changes to your desk setup, movement breaks, and a couple of targeted stretches so it doesn't just come right back.

"One man's food is another man's poison." 🥗🥩

Have you ever tried a popular "clean eating" plan that everyone was raving about, only to feel worse on it?

Search "best diet for me" online and you'll get ten million conflicting answers. One expert swears by keto, another calls carbs the enemy, and a third says fasting solves everything.

The truth? Your body isn't broken—you just have a unique metabolic type. How fast or slow your cells oxidize fuel and how your nervous system handles stress determine whether you thrive on a higher-protein, higher-fat, or higher-carb meal structure.

In our latest guide, we break down:
✅ Why generic meal plans fail so many people

✅ What traditional ancestral diets teach us about fuel balance

✅ How Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) testing gives us an inside look at your cellular metabolism

Most people think of vitamin D3 for bones and immunity, but very few realize it doesn't work alone.
Vitamin K2 helps guide calcium where it belongs, magnesium helps activate vitamin D, and together they create a much smarter approach to supporting bone, heart, muscle, and even joint health.
It's one of the reasons I rarely recommend looking at a single nutrient in isolation. If you'd like to understand why this trio works so well together, and why K2 deserves far more attention, I've broken it down here:

Most people think of GLP-1 medications as weight loss drugs that also happen to help the heart. New cardiology data suggests it might actually be the other way around.

In the major trial behind the FDA's heart-protection approval for these medications, weight loss only explained about a fifth to a third of the cardiovascular benefit. The rest came largely from reduced inflammation in the blood vessels, something that showed up regardless of how much weight a patient actually lost.

We broke down what this means, plus what the early (and still limited) research on GLP-1s and cellular aging really shows, in our latest blog post. Worth a read if you or someone you love is considering this path. 👇
