Setting up for a procedure is arguably just as important as the procedure itself. You must ensure the appropriate positioning of the fluoro table and your patient is optimized for the procedure you’re doing. You must have the right equipment for the job, and have additional supplies, you may need, close by. And always review imaging prior to starting a procedure. One thing all IR docs can agree on...we DON’T like surprises in the middle of a procedure!
