For the past 20 years, I've had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients in New York. This office has been more than a workplace—it has been a place where lives changed, babies were welcomed into the world, difficult conversations were shared, and lifelong relationships were built.

Over the past few weeks, your messages, cards, flowers, gifts, and kind words have reminded me why I chose medicine in the first place. 🌸

To every patient who trusted me with your health, your family, and your story…

Thank you. 💗

While I'm saying goodbye to my physical office, I'm not saying goodbye to you.

This transition allows me to reach more people than ever before through telehealth, education, and our growing online community. My mission remains exactly the same: helping women take control of their health through evidence-based medicine, prevention, and personalized care.

Sometimes, closing one door is what allows many more to open.

Here's to new beginnings. ❤️

🚨 Big news for the future of peptide therapy.

After months of advocacy from physicians and healthcare professionals, we finally have our first major victory.

The FDA committee has voted in favor of allowing BPC-157 to move forward, opening the door for physicians to prescribe it through licensed compounding pharmacies.

Why does this matter?

✔️ Greater access through qualified healthcare providers.
✔️ More confidence in the quality and source of peptide therapies.
✔️ Another step toward bringing innovative treatments into regulated medical practice.

This doesn't mean the journey is over—but it is an important milestone.

As always, peptides should only be used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional and when appropriate for your individual health needs.

I'll continue keeping you updated as more decisions unfold.

Your hormones don't just depend on your ovaries...

They also depend on your liver. 🍃

Here's why.

Your liver is responsible for processing and eliminating excess hormones from your body. When it isn't functioning optimally, those hormones can be recycled instead of removed, contributing to hormone imbalances.

This may play a role in symptoms like:

✨ Estrogen dominance
✨ PMS
✨ Bloating
✨ Mood swings
✨ Stubborn weight gain

Supporting your liver is about more than detox trends—it's about giving your body the tools it needs to maintain hormonal balance.

Small daily habits can make a big difference:
🥦 Eat fiber-rich foods
💧 Stay hydrated
🚶‍♀️ Move your body
😴 Prioritize sleep
🍷 Reduce excess alcohol when possible

Remember: your body works as one connected system. When you support your liver, you're supporting your hormones too.

💬 Did you know your liver plays such an important role in hormone balance?

🚨 Preeclampsia affects hundreds of thousands of pregnancies every year. And while not every case can be prevented, understanding your risk factors could make a difference.

One nutrient that deserves more attention? Magnesium.

Research suggests that magnesium deficiency may increase the risk of high blood pressure during pregnancy and preeclampsia.

✨ Here's what every mom-to-be should know:

🤍 High blood pressure that develops after 20 weeks of pregnancy may be a sign of preeclampsia.

🤍 Most prenatal vitamins contain magnesium—but for some women, it may not be enough.

🤍 If you're at higher risk, talk to your healthcare provider about whether additional magnesium (or other supplements like CoQ10) is appropriate for you.

⚠️ And remember...

If your doctor recommends IV magnesium or early delivery because of severe preeclampsia, those treatments are there to protect both you and your baby.

This post is for education, not medical advice.

💬 Have you ever heard about the role magnesium plays during pregnancy?

Why isn't your body activating thyroid hormone efficiently? 👇

Your thyroid produces mostly T4, an inactive hormone. Before your cells can use it, it must be converted into T3—the active form that supports metabolism, energy, brain function, and body temperature.

✨ Here's what many people don't know:

Most of this conversion happens outside the thyroid—primarily in the liver and gut. If these systems aren't functioning optimally, you may continue experiencing symptoms even when your thyroid labs look "normal."

Common factors that can reduce T4 ➜ T3 conversion:
• Chronic inflammation
• Poor gut health
• Liver dysfunction
• Low selenium, zinc, or iron
• Chronic stress

This is why functional medicine looks beyond the thyroid itself.

Your body is a connected system—not a collection of isolated organs.

📌 Save this for later.

Your gut is much more than a digestive organ.

It's one of the command centers of your entire body. Around 70% of your immune system is associated with the gut, making it essential for immunity, energy, metabolism, and overall health.

When your microbiome is out of balance, it doesn't just affect digestion.

It can influence:
🦠 immune function
🧠 brain fog and mental clarity
⚡ energy production
🔥 inflammation throughout the body
⚖️ hormone balance

One of the most overlooked ways to support gut health isn't just taking probiotics—it's feeding the beneficial bacteria already living in your gut.

That's where prebiotics come in.

Prebiotic-rich foods provide the fuel your beneficial microbes need to produce compounds that help maintain the gut barrier, support immune function, and promote a healthy microbiome.

The goal isn't just to eliminate "bad bacteria."

It's to build an ecosystem where the beneficial bacteria can thrive.

Healthy aging starts with a healthy gut.

Every cell in your body carries a remarkable story.

Unlike most of your DNA, your mitochondria are inherited almost exclusively from your mother. This means your mitochondrial DNA has been passed down through an unbroken maternal line for countless generations.

Scientists have used mitochondrial DNA to trace human migration across the globe and discovered that all living humans share a common maternal ancestor—often referred to as "Mitochondrial Eve." This doesn't mean she was the only woman alive at the time, but rather the woman whose maternal lineage has continued uninterrupted to the present day.

And because mitochondria are responsible for producing the energy that powers nearly every cell in your body, taking care of them is one of the most important investments you can make in your health.

☀️ Move your body.
😴 Prioritize sleep.
🥗 Nourish your cells.
🧬 Protect your mitochondria.

One of the hardest parts of a herpes diagnosis isn't always the virus itself.

It's the fear.

The shame.
The guilt.
The endless Google searches.
The feeling that life will never be the same.

Take a deep breath.

A herpes diagnosis is far more common than most people realize, and for many people, it becomes a manageable part of their health—not their identity.

One of the biggest triggers for recurrent outbreaks is physical and emotional stress. Chronic stress can influence immune function, making it harder for the body to keep the virus in a dormant state.

That's why management goes beyond medication alone. It may also include supporting:

🛡 your immune system
😴 quality sleep
🥗 nutrient status
🧠 stress management
⚖️ overall metabolic health

The most important thing after a diagnosis is not to panic.

It's to become informed.

Knowledge replaces fear. And with the right support, many people live healthy, fulfilling lives while successfully managing herpes.
