We’re back, live and direct from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music! 🎶
Join me for a summer sweaty conversation with classical pianist and executive chef Carlos Arellano.

There are SO many gems in this one. We talk about the practice of being present, Carlos’s childhood in Mexico, and the emotional layers of simply allowing ourselves to BE.

I’m so excited to share another episode with you all. I’d love to hear what you think!

What resonated with you most in this episode? ✨

Hey everyone, I’m Dr. Thomas Moore!

Today I’m excited to share with you a bit about auricular acupuncture also known as ear seeds, and how it can benefit you.

I’ve seen many people experience, relief and balance through these gentle techniques, and I’m excited to walk you through it.

Have you ever tried ear seeds or do you have any questions about how they work?

Let me know in the comments.

Grateful for the opportunity to support my father’s healing today. Acupuncture helps the body release tension, improve circulation, and reset its natural balance. Always an honor to bring this medicine to the people I care about.

When the music hits, my body just answers. No choreography, no plan — just energy finding its way out. Movement like this is freedom. It’s how I shake off the day, reset my spirit, and remind myself that joy is a form of healing too.

Every sway, every step, every little groove is my body telling me it’s alive and listening. This is the kind of flow I talk about in acupuncture: when you stop forcing and start feeling, the energy moves exactly where it needs to go.

Sometimes the best self‑care is letting the music take over and letting your body speak for you.

Biking has become one of my favorite ways to move through life. It keeps my body strong, my mind clear, and my energy flowing. There’s something about being outside, feeling the wind, staying present with every pedal — it reminds me that movement is one of the purest forms of self‑care.

The same principles show up in acupuncture: create circulation, reduce stagnation, support the body’s natural rhythm. When I’m on my bike, I feel that flow in real time. Breath steady. Muscles engaged. Energy balanced.

This isn’t just transportation for me — it’s therapy, meditation, and healthy living all in one. A way to stay aligned with the work I do and the life I’m building.

Caring for my plants reminds me of the same principles I use in healing work: pay attention to the energy, support the environment, and let growth happen naturally. Plants don’t rush. They respond to consistency, intention, and the quality of what you feed them — just like the body.

When I water them, check their leaves, or adjust their light, I’m practicing the same patience I bring into acupuncture. Create flow. Reduce stagnation. Support life. Watching them thrive is a reminder that healing is a partnership between care and environment.

This is self‑care for me — tending to something living, slowing down, and staying connected to the quiet places where energy moves.

Some of my favorite things are the ones that keep me centered, curious, and connected. A little study, a little play, a little comfort — all part of the balance.

Spanish book for expanding the mind. Controller for unwinding. A lighter that reminds me I’ve survived every season I thought would break me. And a plush that keeps the kid in me alive. These small things might look random, but they each carry a piece of who I am and how I move through life.

Healthy living isn’t just workouts and clean eating — it’s choosing the things that feed your spirit, spark joy, and keep your energy flowing. These are mine.

My grandmother was on the phone chatting away, and I was in the den moving right along with every word she spoke. Stretching, bouncing, vibing — just having fun while she had no idea I was back there putting on a whole show.

Expressing myself is joy. And moments like this remind me that the simplest things — her voice, her stories, her presence — can spark the best energy.

Movement is medicine. Every stretch, every breath, every rep is a reminder that the body wants to heal when we give it the right conditions.

Training outdoors keeps me connected — to my breath, my balance, my strength, and the energy moving through every system. Jump rope for circulation. Push‑ups for grounding. Resistance bands for stability. Deep breathing to calm the nervous system.

This is the same philosophy behind acupuncture: create flow, reduce stagnation, support the body’s natural rhythm. When we move with intention, we’re already doing half the work of healing.

Before I pick up a tennis racket, I make sure my mind, breath, and body are aligned. That’s self‑care. That’s healthy living. And that’s the foundation of every treatment I give.

Reiki taught me that healing isn’t just technique — it’s presence. Completing this training deepened the way I show up for my patients, my practice, and myself.

What surprised me most was how clearly energy responds to intention. When the mind settles, the body follows. When the heart opens, the nervous system listens. Reiki reminded me that every person carries their own healing light — my role is simply to help clear the path so it can move freely.

Grateful for this next layer of understanding and ready to integrate this work into every session with purpose and peace.
