A neuropsychological report can offer valuable insight—but the report itself is only the beginning. The next step is turning those recommendations into meaningful, everyday change.

In this conversation, Ari E. Fox, LCSW-R, founder of Cope With School NYC, speaks with K.C. Bugg, Psy.D., about what happens after the report—and how families, clinicians, and professionals can move from recommendations to action.

They discuss how to:
* Prioritize the most important next steps
* Create a realistic action plan
* Build accountability and support
* Measure meaningful progress
* Adapt strategies as needs change

Because a report isn’t the finish line—it’s the roadmap. 🧭

Independence doesn’t mean doing it all alone.

Boundaries aren’t meant to hold teens back—they’re meant to create a safe space for them to thrive. When we set clear, consistent expectations, we build trust, emotional safety, and confidence.

Did your daily routine support you this week—or stress you out? 💭✨

Sometimes self-care isn’t about grand gestures; it’s about the small, daily shifts that give you your energy back. This Self-Care Sunday, try checking in with yourself:

-10-minute walk (to clear your mind)
-Extra glass of water (to reset your body)
-5 minutes of journaling (to unpack your thoughts)

What’s one tiny shift you’re making for you this week? Let me know in the comments!

Back-to-school stress doesn’t begin on the first day. For many children, it starts weeks earlier. You may notice: More clinginess Trouble sleeping Increased irritability Bigger emotions over small things Complaints of stomachaches or headaches

As routines change and new expectations approach, it’s normal for kids to experience stress in ways they may not be able to express with words.

You may notice:

- More clinginess
- Trouble sleeping
- Increased irritability
- Bigger emotions over small things
- Complaints of stomachaches or headaches

These behaviors are often signs that your child is feeling overwhelmed—not “acting out.”

You can help by talking openly about their feelings, re-establishing routines, validating their emotions, and reminding them that it’s okay to feel nervous. Your calm presence and reassurance can make all the difference.

Remember, every child adjusts at their own pace. With patience, support, and understanding, they can begin the school year feeling more confident and secure.
