What does speech and water have in common?
Waves.
Sound waves.
Ocean waves.
Flow.

Ran this one for our Ana Paula Mumy and ourfriends at Spero Stuttering, Inc.

The finish line was Masada. But the highlight was Adi.

17km through the desert.
We started at dawn to beat the heat.
Rocky, narrow trails looked like Mars.
The kind where you keep your eye on every step -
otherwise you'll scrape yourself off the rocks.
I nearly fell three times.

At km 13, my body tanked.
I worried I'd faint.
I pushed myself to the next rest stop.
Poured two cups of water over my head.
Grabbed an extra bottle and kept moving.

Somewhere in the last kilometer, something kicked in.
I don't know where it came from.

I finished strong.

Then I sat down.
Untied my shoes to let my feet breathe.

That's when I saw Adi.
No ceremony. No fanfare.
Just replacing his running prosthetic -
with his everyday one on his amputated stump.

Adi ran the same desert I ran.
The same heat. The same rocks.

Sitting on the other side of the finish line, I was glad I didn't quit.
But the highlight wasn't my finish.
It was his.

Different generations. Same mission.

He chaperoned our school trips. Taught us to ski. Taught us to canoe. Gave us a love of the outdoors, one hike at a time.

Attending rallies to "Free Sharansky." Treating the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Pick-up 5-on-5 at PS 24 to Ramaz basketball away games.

Visiting HaKotel, hiking with Rav Benny zt"l.

Teaching me at Queens College and learning predawn at Aish Kodesh West.

Co-producing Transcending Stuttering documentary film and roller blading in Central Park.

Modeh Ani at the pond and visiting Piasezna at Aish Kodesh East.

Wherever we were, he was there - to be with us.

He taught us his values. He showed us how to be good men.

I put my name next to his at Schneider Speech

Not a family "business" - more of a shared mission.

Different generation, same practice.

As a kid, I tried to make him proud.

Now I know I don't need to try so hard.

His love is unconditional. His pride is everpresent.

Through our lives - and our kids'.

Family is the best investment.

Abba, you invested in us.

We hope you enjoy the dividends of nachas.

Happy Father's Day.

Jonathan didn't get a parade.
But thousands of friends and family attended his funeral this week.

He collapsed suddenly in December 2024.
Diagnosed with brain cancer.
Given only a few months to live.

He beat the odds.
He lived another 18 months.

We knew Jonathan was dying.
But he was too busy - teaching us how to live.
Every day.

What would you do if you had 18 months to live?

Listen to his life message. And his mission.

And keep smiling. Like Jonathan.

Jacob's story is unbelievable. And it's true.

When he was 7, he started stuttering. Just like that.

When he was 12, his teacher humiliated him in front of the class.

His mom found out. She showed up. The teacher ended up in tears.

8 years later, Jacob is dating, networking in finance, and sitting with leaders on Wall Street.

"If I can talk to a girl I like and a global head on Wall Street, I can talk to anybody."

If you stutter.
If you are a parent.
Or you just want to be reminded what the human spirit can do.

This episode is for you.

Do you know what everyone gets wrong about Jalen Brunson?

He's not the reason the Knicks win.

The real reason? Glue.

The invisible connection. Holds them together. Turns me into we.

Speech is the same.
Voice. Word choice. Body language. None of them need to be perfect. You just need to conduct them well.

When you do - you win. 🎻
