that breastfeeding offers lifelong health benefits for moms, too? Breastfeeding is also associated with a lower risk of breast and ovarian cancers, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.

By choosing to breastfeed—whether for weeks, months, or longer—you're not only nourishing your baby today, you're also investing in your own long-term health, helping you stay well for the moments that matter most with your child in the years ahead.

While summer can be a busy time, it doesn’t lessen the importance of a good night’s sleep to your overall wellness. Getting seven or more hours of sleep each night supports:

• Repairing the body – the body fights off germs and gets sick less often when regular rest supports immune function.
• Boosting brain health – adequate rest improves attention span, problem-solving skills, and daily decision-making.
• Improving mood – proper rest balances emotions, lowers stress levels, and reduces symptoms of anxiety or low mood.

Summer produce is delicious, nutrient-rich, and offers up some amazing wellness benefits.

• Hydration and cooling – high water levels in foods like watermelon (91% water) and cucumbers (up to 95% water) help keep your body cool and hydrated in the summer heat.
• Antioxidants and skin protection – brightly colored berries and cherries are packed with anthocyanins that lower inflammation and fight cell damage caused by sun exposure.
• Digestion and energy – fresh summer vegetables like zucchini and sweet fruits like raspberries deliver high amounts of dietary fiber to improve digestion.

It’s National Wellness Month. Summer is a great time to go outside and get moving. Whether you're taking family walks, bike rides, or playing in the park, here are a few important things to remember to be safe in the sun and heat:

• Protect your skin – use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to lower your risk of sunburn or skin damage.
• Drink plenty of water – staying hydrated regulates your body temperature, prevents dangerous conditions like heat stroke, and avoids symptoms like fatigue, headaches, and muscle cramps.
• Protect your eyes – wear sunglasses that block UV rays and use a wide-brim hat if you’re staying outdoors for a prolonged period of time.
