Happy Pride Month! NYSNA celebrates our LGBTQIA+ members, colleagues and patients and reaffirms our commitment to fighting for the LGBTQIA+ community’s rights and healthcare! At a time when all of our rights are under attack, especially trans and gender nonconforming people, it is more important than ever that nurses fight to ensure that our patients receive the care, dignity and respect they deserve!

NYSNA nurses at the Brooklyn Hospital Center stay winning! Over the last week, nurses in the intensive care and cardiac telemetry units won additional staffing, thanks to the strong staffing enforcement language nurses won in their latest contract. Both units have been under enormous stress due to understaffing, but hiring additional nurses will help to alleviate that stress and ensure safe, quality care for TBHC patients. Congratulations, nurses, this victory was made possible thanks to your relentless patient advocacy!
