This Mother’s Day I get to reflect upon the last year’s adventures with my Kara. I loved doing golf cart karaoke 🎤 as her back up singer and 💃 dancing twin. For someone who moved so slow in the morning, she sure loved fast speed boats and waves that splashed her face and knocked me over. Being her cabin mate across the Arctic circle was the longest three weeks of my life….but eating daily ice cream, and loosing my money for her love of bingo was worth it. Becoming 🥐 croissant bakers together in Paris was a delicious experience…. until the dead people started distracting her and she realized having a medium mom meant being a medium daughter 🤣👀. Despite no luck finding auroras in Iceland we had the best snuggle on the tour bus after I yelled at the driver to take us home. In Greece we bonded over our of love of tzatziki, olives and of course dancing in bikinis. We giggled over flirty boys thinking we were close friends and we had to tell them instead we were mom and daughter. We loved talking to spirits in old churches, in between prayer and lighting candles. The spontaneous tarot card readings at the dinner table were epic and she’s quite a natural! Life has shown me my prayers mattered. Being her mother today is the proof God just needed my patience and trust to divine timing. Happy Mother’s Day to those women still in their waiting season. Our relationship today was worth the delay and for that I am beyond grate-full. 🥹
