While laser is usually advertised for treatment of acne scars, subcision is considered the gold standard for treating rolling acne scars. One treatment of subcision can be more effective than four treatments of fractional nonablative laser for rolling acne scars. Milder to moderate boxcar scars can also improve with subcision. Improvement after subcision can be visible as soon as one month after treatment.

Cysts on the face are a common cosmetic concern. Surgical excision is the most effective way to permanently remove a cyst. In this particular patient, I performed a cyst excision using my signature cosmetic surgical technique, which minimizes scarring.
