Surgery is the most effective method for complete removal of a mole, even for cosmetic purposes. When performed in skilled hands, the scarring outcome can be superior to results obtained through laser. This is a beautiful patient of mine who wanted to remove a mole on her face for many years, but was afraid of the scarring associated with mole removal surgery.
