A full mommy makeover…and most of it was covered by insurance! 😱
This patient’s breast reduction and mini tummy tuck (C-section scar revision) were covered by her insurance.
A mini tuck (c-section scar revision) is designed to address concerns primarily below the belly button, making it a potential option for women with a stubborn C-section shelf, loose lower abdominal skin, or a prominent or tethered C-section scar.
A mini tuck typically involves:
• Removing a limited amount of excess skin from the lower abdomen.
• Revising the existing C-section scar when appropriate.
• Improving the lower abdominal contour without repositioning the belly button.
• A shorter incision and generally less extensive recovery compared to a full tummy tuck.
What can you expect? A smoother lower abdomen, reduced overhang, and an improved C-section scar. However, a mini tuck does not significantly address loose skin above the belly button or extensive abdominal muscle separation.
✨ WHY THIS COMBINATION WORKED FOR OUR PATIENT
By combining breast reduction, mini tummy tuck with C-section scar revision, and abdominal liposuction, Dr. Baldenhofer was able to address breast size and positioning, improve the appearance of her lower abdominal scar, and refine her waistline and abdominal contour.
The result is a noticeably more balanced silhouette, seen most when you look at the side views, without requiring a full tummy tuck.
Breast reductions, C-section scar revisions and panniculectomies may be covered, depending on symptoms, documentation, and your individual insurance benefits. Cosmetic liposuction is generally not covered.
