A full week across the city and beyond: here's what we've been up to.

We started the week deep in the edit bay for corvette, a car rental service company with your favorite comedian, and knocked out social media content for a couple of clients. We also celebrated the Knicks big win :)

Mid week, we wrapped a podcast shoot for a major hospital system in NYC, always amazing working with them. Mike was out in DC with Our Community Salutes, and last night we had a screening for a top streaming network's docuseries. This weekend we're out in NYC with a future hall of fame Yankee player. Safe to say we're not slowing down.

On the bidding front, a lot of exciting projects with incredible agencies in the pipeline.

So grateful for the Red Summit team, the freelancers that work with us, and of course our incredible clients. 2026 is moving.

"Go NY GO!"

I love Madison Square Garden, and some of my best entertainment and sports memories are from MSG. My apartments over the years and our offices haven't been too far from that part of town. 33rd/8th... MSG is ICONIC and home to endless entertainment artists, the Rangers, and of course the NY Knicks. RSP has had the honor of filming in the Garden over the years, which is a notch on the belt we are proud of. Our favorite camera shop, B&H, is around the corner, so we always see who is playing in the Garden as we walk by to get something for production. Cold drink & a hot dog, please :)

27 years ago, the Knicks made it to the NBA Finals. Tonight is Game 1.

Sports in NYC are in the blood of the people. There is nothing quite like New York City during a run like this. The city gets louder, the energy shifts, and everyone pulls out their vintage Knicks jerseys or hats. You can tell who is on the bandwagon by the fresh Knicks gear :)

For over 15 years, we have had the privilege of working with professional basketball players in some of the most iconic arenas in the game. After wrapping a project, we go home and watch the Knicks just like every other New Yorker & fan. From MSG to Phoenix to Storrs, CT, we have been in and around some of the best in the game.

We are so lucky to call this city home. Through every season, every era, and every comeback.

Let's go Knicks!

Some shoots require studios. Others require an eFoil and some time on the water.

We had the opportunity to work with Cache_Seven and Andy Hurdman to capture the progression of e-foiling. Andy is the kind of athlete and coach who makes learning look effortless. Decades on the water, a deep understanding of the sport, and a genuine passion for helping others progress.

Wrapping up a historic week at RSP.

The highlight for RSP had to be Ryan and Cali out in Indiana for the Corvette Indy 500 shoot. 15 cameras, 200 feet of cake, and a 30+ person crew. That one was something special.

Our continued partnership with Allegrone Companies out in western Massachusetts had Cali and Harrison wrapping up their photography work after over a month of filming and photography. Our hospital network podcast work continues here in New York City which we are so proud of. If you have a podcast or an idea for one by the way, we would love to talk!

This week also brought us back to one of the very first agencies Mike ever worked with for an important internal project. Milestone moment!

Big shoutout to our interns Aya and Hattie who are deep into their personal projects and doing incredible work. And a special thank you to Harriett on our social media team for the consistent content.

These recaps are more than just updates. They are a chance to reflect on the work, the places we have been, and the clients who trust us to show up for them. We have the best team in the business and we mean that every time we say it.

Thank you to our team, our freelancers, and our clients!

Message from our Executive Producer, Michael Krentzman

When I knew I was ready to start my own company.

I got my real start at six years old when my parents gifted me with a camcorder for Christmas. We recently found the old footage on VHS and my mother digitized for the family. Wide eyed excitement and screams of joy. Perhaps because it was a nicer gift at the moment than my older brother and sister. From there I was always playing with camcorders and filming.

My official paying start in production happened in 2005, when I was hired as a Production Assistant during the height of the MSLO era. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. A glorious time at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on West 26th & the AMV Building near FIT. My most important job? Starbucks runs for the control room staff, and if you have ever tried to carry two trays of coffee through busy NYC streets and production floors without losing a single cup, you know that is no small feat. My time at Martha was incredible and opened my eyes to to production and what my good friend Roger Maroni would always say “Mike, we all know showbusiness, but don’t forget the business of the show”

On non-show days I was driving all over New York City picking up props, flowers, and food for the various departments at Martha. Whatever was needed, I got it done, and I loved it.

That hustle took me from PA to Location Coordinator to Associate Producer at Martha Stewart. Then over to Rachael Ray as an Associate Producer & Camera Operator. I joke that since I was a staff member and an extra camera op that the hired crew had to deal with, they made me a pretty great camera op so I could be helpful. Back then we used lights with actual bulbs ;)

After four straight years on daytime TV, I left the comfort zone for something new and uncontrollable. Freelance.

A lot happened in between and as time went by, I started asking myself a question. What if I built something of my own? Not just a career. A company. Something I could grow, shape, and pour everything into. I wanted to bet on myself and see how far that could take me. My wife gets the biggest shout out for support because she was the one giving me the extra confidence, the extra push, the extra “you can do it”...

So I did. And that became Red Summit Productions. I moved from freelance Producer to DP and now EPof a NYC based production company and we are proudly out of the Grand Central Building and coming up on 16 years of business.

I would not be here without the crews who took me under their wing early on, my wife and family who supported this dream before it had a name, and every client and collaborator who believed in us along the way.

Sixteen years later I am more grateful than ever. And I'm still learning every single day.

Thank you

Mike Krentzman, Owner and EP, Red Summit Productions

What two words we carry at RSP…

Look at our logo and you'll find it. Look at the work and you'll feel it. Look at how we run a set and you'll appreciate it.

Rise above. The foundation we've built on for sixteen years. Every project we make carries those two words somewhere inside it.

Thank you to the team, the freelancers, and the clients who keep coming back. Sixteen years of Red Summit is sixteen years of all of you.

What an Olympic Gold Medalist taught our EP, Mike Krentzman, about leadership.

Mike recently had the privilege of hearing Duke Women’s Basketball Coach Kara Lawson speak at a Jesse Itzler Mastermind event at Duke University.

When someone who has won a WNBA Championship, an Olympic Gold Medal, and coached the Boston Celtics talks about success, you grab a notebook and start writing.

While everyone knows her viral "Handle Hard Better" philosophy, three specific lessons she shared completely changed how Mike views his daily work and leadership:

• Kara emphasized that you have to "put out what you want to attract." If you want a high-performing, resilient team, you can't show up with low-vibe, checked-out energy. You attract who you are, not just what you want. The same holds true for our clients and freelancers and our responsibilities. Be present and have confidence.

• Kara noted that "hard conversations don't go away." In leadership, avoiding conflict is just sweeping it under the rug. True leadership runs toward the friction because leaders know clarity is kindness. A lifelong lesson to work on, however, it's critical for communication.

• Kara challenged us to "develop with your staff and develop as a leader." Too many leaders expect their teams to evolve while their own leadership style remains stagnant. True leadership isn't about standing at the finish line cheering your team on; it’s about getting in the trenches and growing with them.

At Red Summit Productions we have had the privilege of working with clients, brands, freelancers and talented staff for over 15 years. We value each and everyone's time and we believe we are leaders in getting the job done.

Being in that room was a TRUE masterclass. Huge thank you to Jesse Itzler for putting together an incredible event, and to Coach Lawson for dropping absolute gold.

Reach out to us if we can be a leader in your corner.

From California to Massachusetts to Indiana. Not a bad week at RSP!

Reporting from our 30th floor office roof deck. Mike was out in Culver City early in the week filming at a blue screen studio with a comedic actor tied to a really exciting World Cup project. Cali and Harrison held it down in western Massachusetts with Allegrone Construction for video and photography. And right now as you watch this, Ryan and Cali are at one of the most iconic speedways in the country working on content we cannot wait to show you.

We also had a crew up at 4am flying a drone over a Midwest factory to get footage on local news by morning. That kind of turnaround is what we live for.

On the bidding side we have projects brewing in Montreal, London, and right here in New York City. A lot in motion and we are fired up about all of it.

Thank you to our incredible team, our freelancers, and our clients. Wishing everyone a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
