With yesterday being her Heaven Anniversary and as we celebrate Mother’s Day today, it’s the perfect time for me to pay tribute to Sr. Patricia Markey, O. Carm., a very special person who was such a blessing to our family and countless other families!

During the last mile of my Dad’s journey with Alzheimer’s, “Sr. Pat” as she was affectionately known, was my Dad’s Nurse Practitioner in long-term care. She cared for my Dad, and every resident in the nursing home, with dignity and respect. Some called her caregiving “old school” but to the families whose loved ones she cared for, it was always about LOVE!

Thank you, Sr. Pat — we love you and miss you! 💖💕💖
