Except for an extremely small percentage of the population - people felt the ramifications from the worst of the Pandemic on many levels. Fears for health & health/survival of loved ones; loss of jobs; disruption of dreams, careers, artistic paths; economic hardships; developmental delays in finding & growing relationships; the list goes on & on. Now that we are starting to rebuild our lives many are experiencing that they often are unnecessarily 'reactive' to 'activating events.' After 'holding it together' for years emotions now surface quickly. There a little emotional reserves! While realizing that others actions may indeed be a cause of anger, sorrow and/or setting boundaries - upon reflections you may realize that the SIZE of your emotions did not belong to the activating event. Take stock. If true - apologize - hold yourself accountable - then be KIND to yourself and take steps to further your Emotional & Psychological Healing. Nurture - be giving and kind to yourself. In this way you are working towards healing & and will be able to recalibrate your emotional responses.
