Dr. Thomas Imahiyerobo is a Craniofacial and Plastic Surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Imahiyerobo received his B.A. from Harvard University where he graduated with Honors. from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Imahiyerobo completed the combined Plastic Surgery Residency at New York Presbyterian/Columbia and New York Pre
sbyterian/ Weill Cornell. During his residency, Dr. Imahiyerobo was the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Dicran Goulian award for academic excellence in plastic surgery, as well as the Weill Cornell Alumni Council award for Distinguished House Staff. During his final year of residency Dr. Imahiyerobo served as chief resident in Plastic Surgery and was recognized by New York Presbyterian Hospital for his outstanding patient care. Dr. Imahiyerobo’s practice covers both pediatric and adult services. His areas of expertise include the treatment of cleft lip, cleft palate, craniosynostosis, facial advancement and orthognathic (jaw) surgery. In addition he treats the complete spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery problems such as pigmented skin lesions, ear abnormalities, syndactyly, and facial trauma. He serves as Co-Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at NYP-Columbia. Through the Craniofacial Center, patients and their families have access to a wide array of notable specialist providing, multi-disciplinary care. For adult patients he also specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, including reconstruction following Moh’s surgery. Dr. Imahiyerobo is committed to providing comprehensive, cutting-edge, compassionate care to patients of all ages. He has completed additional fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. His research interest include the use of innovative approaches to treat global midface hypoplasia and severe Class III malocclusion. He is also focused on outcomes research for cleft lip and palate surgery, as well as the effects of craniosynostosis on pediatric cognitive development. In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Gaspar Anastasi Award for best research presentation during the Resident and Fellows Forum’s at the meeting of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Imahiyerobo is actively accepting new patients, including pediatric patients. He resides in the New York – New Jersey metro area, along with his wife and three daughters.
