💜 August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day.

When an opioid overdose happens, every second matters.

Naloxone, commonly known by the brand name NARCAN®, can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and give someone the time they need for emergency help to arrive.

Knowing how to recognize an overdose, call 911, administer naloxone, and provide lifesaving care can make the difference between life and death.

And you don’t have to be a healthcare professional to learn how.

At First Aid & CPR, LLC, we cover naloxone administration as part of our First Aid training because being prepared means knowing what to do before an emergency happens.

🐾 Today, we’re celebrating the four-legged best friends who leave paw prints on our hearts! ❤️

For National Dog Day, we wanted to do something a little more personal. Along with CasPeR and CyPRus, we’re sharing some of the dogs who have played a special role in the lives of our First Aid & CPR, LLC family, including a few who may no longer be by our side but will always be part of our story. 🐶❤️

As a company that teaches Pet First Aid & CPR, we know being a pet parent means more than belly rubs, treats, and walks. Knowing what to do when your best friend needs you most can make all the difference.

Definitely not beavers.
Please don’t sue us. 😂

Sure, the big teeth, red hat, and suspiciously familiar yellow background might raise a few questions… but we promise, these two are much more interested in first aid than Beaver Nuggets. 👀😂
