Why Dermatologists Are Talking About Scalp Health

✨ Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp.

Your scalp is skin too—and inflammation, irritation, and barrier disruption can all affect hair health. 🤍

💆‍♀️ Give your scalp the same care and attention as the rest of your skin.
✨ Healthy scalp, healthier hair.

“The scalp is skin — and it needs the same attention to barrier health and inflammation as the rest of the body.”

Cosmetics Where You Still Look Like Yourself.

The best cosmetic work doesn’t change your face —
it enhances what’s already there 🤍

Today’s goal is natural movement, balance, and healthy-looking skin.

✨ Less transformation, more restoration
💫 The goal is still you — just refreshed

“Cosmetic treatments should help you look refreshed and natural — not like a different person.”

Hydration Beyond Your Face

Hydration should not stop at your face.
Body lotions and lip products with
hydrating ingredients can help keep the
skin soft, comfortable, and healthy,
especially when the skin feels dry or
depleted.

Small daily habits can make a big
difference.

Is Red Light Therapy Worth It?

Red light therapy is one of the questions
I hear most often in my practice.

For many people, it can be a helpful
addition to a skincare routine.

Current research supports its role in
promoting collagen and elastin, making it
a useful option for maintaining healthy-
looking skin over time.

Rather than trying to reverse aging
overnight, I encourage patients to think
about protecting and supporting their
skin for the future.

As always, consistency is key—and
skincare works best when it's part of a
long-term plan.

marter Skincare, Fewer Products

✨ Smarter skincare isn't about having more products—it's about choosing the right ones.

A cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and targeted treatment are often enough for healthy skin. 🤍

🧴Consistency matters more than complexity.
✨ Sometimes, the basics work best.

“Effective skincare doesn’t have to be complicated.
For many people, the basics work best.”
- Dr. Lamb

Peptides Are Replacing Collagen Creams

✨ Collagen creams may sound appealing, but peptides work differently.

Instead of adding collagen to the skin, peptides help signal your skin to support its own collagen production. 🧬
💧 Support your skin’s natural function for long-term results.
✨ Stronger, healthier skin starts from within.

“Ingredients that support the skin’s natural processes tend to deliver more consistent results over time.”
- Dr. Lamb

How to Treat Insect Bites

Mosquito bites and other insect bites are
common during the summer.

If you get one:

• Apply 1% hydrocortisone cream

• Avoid scratching

• Oral antihistamines may help with
itching

• Consider DEET or picaridin-based
repellents to help prevent bites

Sometimes the simplest treatments are
the most effective.

The Truth About Overcomplicated Skincare Routines

✨ More skincare doesn’t always mean better skin.

Layering too many actives can lead to irritation, sensitivity, and a weakened skin barrier.

⚠️ Simple, consistent routines often deliver the best results.
✨ Healthy skin starts with balance, not overload.

“Simple, consistent routines are often more effective than overly aggressive skincare.”
- Dr. Lamb

Preventive Dermatology Is Trending.

✨ The future of dermatology is prevention, not just treatment.

Daily habits like SPF, retinoids, antioxidants, and regular skin checks can help protect your skin before concerns appear. ☀️

🧴 Consistency matters more than intensity.
✨ Healthy skin is built over time.

“Preventive care helps maintain healthier skin over time — not just correct concerns later.”
- Dr. Lamb

Regenerative Skincare Is the Future.

✨ The future of skincare is shifting from correction to regeneration.

Instead of simply covering damage, the focus is on supporting how skin repairs and functions over time. 🧬

💧 Stronger, healthier skin starts from within.
✨ Regeneration > correction.

🧴“Regenerative skincare focuses on strengthening the skin, not just treating it.”
