We extend heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community and to all who observe Eid al-Adha within our Downstate family and around the world.

Known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” Eid al-Adha is one of the holiest observances in Islam—a time of faith, reflection, compassion, and generosity. As communities gather in prayer and service to others, we recognize the shared values of kindness, unity, and support that strengthen our Downstate community every day.

We wish all who celebrate a peaceful and joyful Eid filled with health, fulfillment, and togetherness.

This Memorial Day, Downstate honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

We reflect with gratitude on their courage and recognize the many veterans, service members, and military families throughout our Downstate community whose commitment to service continues through healthcare, education, research, and compassionate care.

May we always honor the legacy of those we have lost by continuing to serve others with dignity, compassion, and purpose.

Wishing all a safe, meaningful, and healthy Memorial Day.
