WHEN INFLAMMATION WON’T SWITCH OFF

Autoinflammatory diseases can cause the body’s immune system to trigger inflammation without the usual infection or injury that would explain it.

Symptoms may include recurring fever, fatigue, joint pain, skin rashes, abdominal pain, and unexplained inflammation. Because these conditions can be uncommon and difficult to recognize, getting the right diagnosis may take time.

This Autoinflammatory Awareness Month, let’s raise awareness, recognize the signs, and encourage people experiencing persistent or recurring symptoms to seek medical advice.

Understanding unexplained inflammation can be the first step toward the right care.

National Immunization Awareness Month

National Immunization Awareness Month is a reminder of the important role vaccines play in protecting people of all ages from serious and preventable diseases. Staying up to date with recommended vaccinations helps protect individuals, families, and the wider community.

Vaccines prepare the immune system to recognize and fight certain infections, helping reduce the risk of severe illness and complications. Talk to your healthcare provider about the vaccines that are recommended for you and your family.

☀️ Protect Your Skin. Enjoy the Sunshine Safely.

Spending time outdoors is great for your physical and mental wellbeing, but too much sun exposure can increase the risk of sunburn, premature skin aging, and skin cancer.

Stay safe in the sun by applying a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, wearing protective clothing, sunglasses, and a wide brimmed hat, and seeking shade during the strongest sunlight hours. Remember to stay hydrated and reapply sunscreen every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating.

At Parkchester Medical, we encourage healthy habits that help protect you and your family all year round. Enjoy the sunshine safely and make sun protection part of your daily routine.
