Some weeks I am full of ideas and can’t decide what to focus on.

Then there are weeks like this. Where my mind draws a blank and I have absolutely no idea if I should just take the week off.

But the inspiration always comes. Sometimes in the first moments I stir from sleep in the morning (or the middle of the night). And other times, I just take a few breaths and imagine what I would like to experience.

That’s how this week’s sleep meditation, “The Home That Cares For You,” came to be. A listener mentioned how much she enjoyed “The Sanctuary Train” because it gave her a chance to stop carrying everything and be carried. This latest meditation offers a similar vibe— a place where, the moment you cross the threshold, you can leave everything behind and simply be tended to and cared for.

So snuggle up, and let this week’s sleep meditation tuck you in and take care of you. It’s time to dream away.

This week's sleep meditation, The Sanctuary Train, is designed to help you leave everything that's been weighing you down on the platform of a quiet station.

Instead, allow yourself to be carried as the train glides through moonlit forests beneath the stars. Its gentle rocking becomes a reminder that, for a little while, you don't have to hold everything together. You are safe, supported, and free to drift into deep sleep.

A few years ago, I traveled to Machu Picchu aboard one of the most beautiful panoramic trains. Before the journey, I was surprisingly anxious because passengers were only allowed to bring a single small bag. After carefully deciding what truly mattered, I packed light—and as the train pulled away, I felt an unexpected sense of freedom. Leaving so much behind felt lighter than I ever imagined.

That feeling stayed with me, and it inspired this meditation.

If you've been longing for a place to feel safe, held, and carried into deep sleep, I hope you'll join me aboard.

It's time to dream away.

Journey to the Witches’ Cottage in tonight’s sleep story, “Painted Wishes.”
Have you ever envisioned something for your life and watched it slowly come to life?

Last week, as I descended into Bear Mountain beneath skies touched by distant plumes of wildfire smoke, I felt a profound sadness. I thought about the three sisters and their deep connection to nature, and their belief that a single dream and a single soul can change the world.

I created this series to honor that enduring hope and the maternal energy we all need when the world feels too heavy.

Tonight, each sister casts her own wish into the sky… and you are invited to cast yours as well, onto a limitless canvas waiting for your vision.

It’s time to dream away.

Since I was a child, I’ve always treasured those moments when I could fall asleep by the sea — windows open to the salty air, the sound of waves moving gently in the distance, and the feeling of being completely at peace.

I’ve always felt that falling asleep is like drifting on the waves. There is a gentle pull that carries you softly away from the day until you are completely surrendered to rest.

Tonight, I invite you to join me for The Sea of Sleep — a soothing journey where moonlit waters, rhythmic tides, and the calm of the ocean guide you toward deep, peaceful sleep.

Your nighttime escape begins now. It’s time to dream away.

What’s the last thing you did just for the sake of feeling good?

This week I took my niece and nephew to Great Escape and bowling for a trip reserved completely for fun. Each season I choose an intention, and this summer has been dedicated to making good memories and focusing on feeling good.

I could list dozens (if not hundreds) of reasons why fun gets pushed aside. We live in a time of constant information, endless distractions, and it's easy for striving to become our default.
That's become a big motivation for me as a creator. The stories in this sanctuary are designed to soften the night and bring a little imaginative play before you drift across the bridge to sleep.

They're filled with comforting sensory details and nostalgic yearnings, gently inviting you to remember places that made your heart feel a little lighter—or places you've always longed to visit.

A small escape where nothing is expected of you except to relax, enjoy, and simply be.

Feel-Good Bedtime Escapes premieres Sunday at 7:30 PM EST.

Enjoy 4.5 hours of continuous storytelling with no mid-roll ads as you drift through cozy destinations designed to help you unwind, let go of the day, and fall peacefully asleep. What’s the last thing you did just for the sake of feeling good?

I just returned from a whirlwind week of adventures in Louisville attending my first cheese conference thanks to a scholarship from Vermont Creamery. I’ve led over 2000 classes over the past 12 years, teaching people about their palates, and it was such a nice change of pace to be the student.

So many story ideas came to me as I walked along the Ohio River, listened to the stories of pioneering women in the dairy industry, and found myself in the lobby of the Brown Hotel and among the promenade of Old Louisville. I look forward to how they unfold.

This week’s sleep story, “Midnight at the Museum,” is inspired by a sanctuary in my neighborhood—a place I once volunteered at during Halloween and the Christmas season that has now become a frequent stop whenever my niece visits. They have been known to hold sleepovers under the blue whale, and I thought it would be a perfect cool escape during a quiet, torrid summer.

I hope it helps you all find peace and sleep as a new week unfolds. It’s time to dream away.
