30 years transforming lives!

What began in 1996 with the idea of collecting unused medicines to send them to those who needed them most, until today has become a global response to HIV.

Over these three decades, the organization’s commitment has strengthened and continues to evolve to respond to new realities. Each experience and story has been an opportunity for the organization to continue growing, reach more places, and be able to provide an increasingly wide response to HIV.

Nathalie was nine yeAIDFORAIDS arrived in this country from Anaco, Venezuela. U.S. Ambassador in our nation’s history, after leading Latino Victory, chairing the Hispanic Federation, and serving as U.S. Ambassador to Croatia.

Her work reflects what we believe: that every immigrant has humanity and potential worth recognizing.

Despedimos hoy a Raiza Farnataro de Arias, una mujer que convirtió el acompañamiento a personas con VIH en Venezuela en el propósito de su vida.

Trabajar junto a ella nos dejó una certeza clara: la defensa de la dignidad de las personas no se negocia, incluso en los contextos más difíciles.

Nos sentimos afortunados de poder trabajar con Raiza, por tantos años de alianza y amistad. Nuestro cariño está con su familia y con toda la Fundación Conciencia por la Vida.

Con profundo dolor despedimos a Jesús Ortega, parte esencial de la familia de AID FOR AIDS.

Jesús formó parte de nuestro equipo de Agentes Multiplicadores de Información en el programa ¿Cuánto Sabes? en AFA Venezuela, y luego continuó con nosotros en AFA Colombia como Oficial de Monitoreo y Evaluación. Su compromiso, su entrega y su humanidad dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de trabajar a su lado.

Extendemos nuestras más sinceras condolencias a su familia, sus amigos y todos sus seres queridos. Su memoria vivirá siempre en nuestro corazón y en cada vida que ayudó a transformar.
