Gloria Steinem was an inspiration for generations of women and people throughout the world. She was the brave, outspoken, risk-taking woman many of us needed to develop ourselves and our theories. The Women's Therapy Centre Institute honored Gloria at our 10th anniversary in 1991. We are still going strong, and we mourn with all whose hearts and minds have been illuminated.

About the Film:

S*X WORK It’s Just a Job is a powerful, deeply human documentary that centers the voices of s*x workers and organizers leading the growing movement to decriminalize consensual s*x work in the United States. Every day, people across the country are arrested, harassed, denied housing, incarcerated, and threatened by police for engaging in consensual s*xual exchanges between adults. This film asks a simple but urgent question: what if the harm comes not from the work itself, but from the laws that criminalize it?

This event will feature a film screening followed by a Q&A with the producers and s*x workers featured in the film.
