Thank you 2025. It’s true what they say about year of the snake - filled with self reflection, shedding, and re-imagination. Becoming a mother of two with all the glories and unimaginable humility brought the deepest love. New adventures and meaningful relationships made time away from the family worth it. Excited for 2026!

Don’t come to me for big ducky lips. I just don’t do them. I like natural looking, soft (not rubbery), and glossy (not fake).

Don’t always expect me to give lips seen on Instagram that don’t match your face. I get it - It’s easy to focus on the lips itself but lips don’t exist by themselves. It’s important to respect the balance with the rest of the face and whether that works.

We work together to discover your definition of beauty that does evolve with the years. For my patient, we decided a little gloss in the lips, more color, more symmetry, the slightest plump, and chin support.

Please be advised, when patient photos are shown, consent to post a signed photo release was obtained by the patient. DO NOT share or reproduce without permission.

Lips. Kind of a functional design failure. Little melanin so it’s predisposed to premature aging. Undergoes so much activity - talking, eating, pouting, kissing. Primed to be exposed to different irritants like lip balms, lipstick, lip scrubs, saliva, food, toothpaste. But imperfections are the most beautiful things. Lips will always be one of my favorite parts of the face to rejuvenate, restore, and hydrate.

Thanks and on your amazing piece on lips for this Fall 2020 issue.

My 👸🏻, hero, and THE style icon. After quarantine, her first day back, she cared for 30 patients and continues to serve her patients. She takes a medical-related webinar about allergy and immunology at least twice weekly to sharpen her knowledge base since quarantine. She sends me custom made masks because as a die-hard Vogue loyalist, fashion and self-expression bring joy, self worth, and living art. Putting on a rocking dress or mask can start the day so right. When I was feeling guilty about not being in the hospital at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak in NYC, she listened, supported but then reminded me, as physicians, we first pledge to do no harm, practicing medicine within our scope and recognizing our limitations of knowledge base are also forms of courage and humility; I had a responsibility to be focused and intentional to my own patients as a dermatologist and staff as a business owner. She reminds me to take my vitamins and wear my mask everyday because we have responsibility to our fellow citizen and that tells me that, we will see each other soon. สุขสันต์วันแม่ รัก and คิดถึง 💗 @ Bangkok, Thailand

First hour-long webinar DONE anddddd.... I’m back in pajamas! Thank you for everyone for tuning into tonight and if you missed it, you can catch it on their website with other great talks from who I learned so much from. So incredible for our community to be coming together to ensure that we share, grow, and create sustainable and safe solutions for our patients, our team, and our community in this new world. asked me at the end what was one positive thought from covid-19. I honestly almost cried (which I done once through quarantine). When you live through trauma, I wonder if we can truly process it. Meditation and mindfulness have allowed me to stay as present as I can but it’s been such a difficult roller coaster of fear, anxiety, judgement, and guilt. But never have I been more inspired by people, never have I felt proud that so many are interested in medicine, science and health!!, never have I connected with old friends from around the world in a short period of time, never have I heard birds chirping every day in New York City, never have I felt so grateful for my team, family, and friends, and never have I been more hopeful that good will come out of this as one small dermatologist here in this beautiful city.

I’m so grateful for my colleagues around the world like Dr. Oh who is a board-certified dermatologist in Korea. I have been learning from their experiences of safety and how to care for our patients in our new world to continue to care for their skin health and wellness. It is a collective responsibility - our team, our patients, and our practice - that requires us to come together as a community. Tomorrow I will be sharing our safety and recover plans for as a webinar with Thank you to all my amazing colleagues 🙏

No more excuses 🙅‍♀️. Sunscreen and sun protective behaviors are a must. In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we will be posting helpful tips and facts about skin cancer and sun protection weekly. * Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and worldwide.
* More than 2 people die of skin cancer in the U.S. every hour.
* Having 5 or more sunburns doubles your risk for melanoma.
* When detected early, the 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 99 percent.

For early detection and prevention, we recommend that you see a board-certified dermatologist once a year, or more often if you are at a higher risk of skin cancer, for a full-body, professional skin exam.

Glimmer of hope, the air is cleaner as we are in the season of rebirth. Hope that sustainability and commitment towards being not only environmentally conscious but active will be the new normal.

Fact: Recent study showed that personal care products are responsible for 60% of facial dermatitis (red flaky patches on the face) in men. Common offenders are fragrance mix, balsam of Peru (that cinnamon sweet woodsy smell), and methylisothiozolinone.
Truth: I’ve been curating skincare routines for men for years but lately, there’s definitely been an uptick with teledermatology. Simple, straight forward, and get the job done.
Thanks for letting my share a few of my favorites for men skincare.
