Why 64 units?
When treating the full upper face with Botox Cosmetic, 64 units is the FDA-labeled total dosing across the three main areas: 20 units for the glabella, 20 units for the forehead, and 24 units for crow’s feet.
Janna at our Flatiron location customized this treatment based on her patient’s anatomy, muscle strength, movement, and goals.
Why does dosing matter? Using an appropriate therapeutic dose allows the targeted muscles to relax more effectively, which can help create a more consistent result and may help the treatment maintain its effect longer than when an area is under-dosed. More units doesn’t simply mean “more frozen.” It’s about placing the right amount in the right muscles.
Botox results typically last around 3–4 months, although every patient is different.
Thoughtful dosing. Strategic placement. Natural-looking results.
