This is a MUST WATCH if you are taking GLP medications for weight loss and are also planning on having a surgery. GLPs are amazing for weight loss, but they also carry some unique risks for your surgery. Delayed gastric emptying and nutritional depletion can increase your risk of potentially life-threatening complications such as aspiration pneumonia and delayed wound healing. This is why we have our patients stop these medications 2 weeks before surgery. Thai allows time to get nutrition a little better and also allows the stomach motility to move closer to normal. This is something that you MUST discuss with your surgeon prior to your surgery.

I get it, we all want engagement but filling your posts with bot comments isn’t it. Even though the bot comments have become much more advanced, it’s still very obvious to anyone who reads the comments. This is becoming a growing trend in plastic surgery and even though the surgeons may be amazing and respected in the field, it only serves to discredit them and their skill.

As the temperatures start to climb, I am always reminded of my childhood summers. Enjoy this photo of a little 11 year old at summer camp (shout out ) sporting a very stylish mesh tank top, and ultimately growing up to be a successful plastic surgeon in New York City. Summer camp taught me to be independent, get along with others, and of course, sneak into the girls’ bunk. Those were some of the best summers of my life. I’m pretty sure none of my camp mates would have thought I would end up where I am.

This is the first (and probably only) time I am commenting on all the Kris Jenner facelift drama. It went from loving her facelift to hating her facelift to loving her facelift. The “hating” part was just fake news. The real issue is how the plastic surgery community reacted to all this drama. First, some surgeons tried to take credit for it by insinuating that they were the surgeon, then when Kris said her surgeon was Dr. Steven Levine in New York City, many doctors criticized the rumored price tag. Then when there were fake headlines about her facelift “slipping” and “failing”, they used it as an opportunity to tout their own superior techniques and how Dr. Levine used an inferior technique. Now that Kris has set the record straight an said she loves her results and her surgeon, where are those other surgeons now? No apology post? 🦗
