Last night with friends was so much refreshing and fun. This is the part that so many special needs parents dosen’t get to have often due to being a caregiver to their kid(s) with disabilities. Because finding a babysitter/ nanny or caregiver who you trust to take care of your kids doesn’t come easy.

It’s okay to grieve‼️
Cry for the life you imagined. It doesn’t mean you love your child any less—it just means you’re human. The grief eventually makes room for a strength you didn't know you had.

He is still the same Jeffery.‼️
The diagnosis is just a label to help us get him the right support. It doesn’t change his beautiful smile, his infectious laugh, or the way he loves you. He was Jeffery before the doctor spoke, and he’s Jeffery now. 💙

Your village is waiting for you.‼️
You feel alone in that office, but there is a massive community of parents who have been exactly where you are. We are ready to hold your hand, celebrate the tiny wins, and remind you that you’re a good mom.

To the parent sitting in that office today or just received their child diagnosis,Take a deep breath. You are stronger than you know, and your journey is going to be more beautiful than you can imagine. 🙏✨

Yesterday at Jeff’s music class I had a good cry and I felt good afterwards.
A grandma that also does music class saw me while I was waiting for Jeffery to finish his class walked up to me and said you are a good mom and I watched you and your son for a while now. Keep being strong for him and he will be fine.
I bursted out crying uncontrollably and she held me tight and whispered ‘let it out’. I cried until I was done and she handed me a tissue paper and said I am here for you if you need to talk, I have a God daughter who is autistic and I get it😭😭😭.
