The Culture and Health Promotion of Minority Youth & Families Lab Our lab aims to promote culture and health among minority and immigrant youth and families through research.

CHamP at Teachers College, Columbia University is a research lab dedicated to understanding and promoting the development and psychological outcomes of minority and immigrant children and adolescents. This is done through a research program aimed at understanding the influence of culture on development and psychopathology of ethnic minority and immigrant youth, with the purpose of developing cultu

rally appropriate, evidence-based interventions for these communities. CHamP is directed by Dr. Cindy Huang, Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at Teachers College.

This is the time of year when we get to celebrate our CHamP Lab members who are continuing on to their exciting new journeys! Congratulations to our newest doc, Dr. Annie Fanta!
