If the answer to obesity were simply **“try harder,”** we wouldn’t see the same biological patterns behind appetite, satiety, metabolism, and weight regulation.

Obesity is a chronic disease with multiple contributing factors including genetics, environment, and biology. That matters because it changes the conversation from *
blame to treatment.

At Elite Health Center NYC we look at the biology behind weight. not just the number on the scale and use that context to guide treatment decisions.

Weight management is medical care. It deserves a medical approach.

Before you take a compounded medication, take a minute to look at the details.

Who prepared it?
What strength did you receive?
How should it be stored?
When does it need to be used by?

These aren’t technicalities. They’re basic things you should be able to verify about your medication.

And if the label, packaging, instructions, or medication itself doesn’t look right to you, don’t guess. Ask your pharmacist or provider first.

At EHCNYC, we want patients to understand what they’re receiving not just receive a package.

Compounded medication comes with more questions than simply

“What am I taking?”
Who prepared it?
What does the label say?
How should it be stored?
And who do you contact when something doesn’t look right?

These details are easy to overlook but they’re part of being an informed patient.

At EHCNYC, we believe the medication experience should be clear from the moment it’s dispensed to the moment it reaches you. That means clear labeling, professional packaging, appropriate handling, and a care team you can turn to when you have questions.

Save this checklist for your next delivery.

Some plot twists are better left off the group chat…😂😂😂

R3ta may be having a moment online, but it’s still investigational and not FDA-approved. So before believing everything you hear about the latest “miracle” weight-loss drug, look past the hype and look at the evidence.

Would you have caught the plot twist?

The strange part isn’t that people are excited about what retatrutide could become.

It’s that the market is already selling it.

Retatrutide is still investigational and has not been FDA-approved. Yet, according to Axios, it has already found its way into an online black market, with products being marketed directly to consumers. Eli Lilly has also filed lawsuits against several businesses over alleged unauthorised sales.

And this is where the conversation needs a little more nuance:

Promising results in clinical research ≠ an approved treatment.
Online availability ≠ clinical validation.

If you’ve already seen retatrutide marketed online, where did you see it?
We’re curious how widespread the marketing has become.

Aging isn’t just something we see on the outside. A lot of it is happening at the cellular level.
Mitochondria sit at the center of that story, producing energy, responding to cellular stress, and relying on quality-control systems to keep damaged components in check. As we age, those systems can change. And then there’s NAD⁺.

It plays an important role in cellular metabolism and redox biology, which is why NAD⁺ has become such a major focus of longevity research. But an important distinction often gets lost online:Biological mechanism ≠ proven clinical outcome. Human research on NAD⁺ targeted interventions is still evolving, with studies showing changes in NAD⁺ levels but much less certainty around whether those changes translate into meaningful anti-aging benefits.

That’s where longevity medicine needs to move beyond the hype. That’s the conversation worth having. Schedule a consultation with us for your better health and well-being...

Before considering any peptide therapy, it’s worth asking where the product comes from, who manufactured it, whether that source can be verified, and what evidence supports its use.

Recent U.S. import data reviewed by the Partnership for Safe Medicines found peptide shipments with vague declarations such as “peptide” or “custom peptide,” along with shipments linked to manufacturer addresses that raised questions about their legitimacy. For an injectable product, identity, potency, purity, and sterility matter.

At Elite Health Center NYC, the conversation starts with the patient, the evidence, the treatment, and the source not simply the name on the vial. Because knowing what a peptide does is only part of knowing what you’re putting into a treatment plan.

A peptide being sold online does not make it a medical product.

When an injectable comes from an unregulated source, you may not be able to verify its identity, concentration, sterility, manufacturing quality, or contaminants. Recent testing reported by ABC News Australia found substantial discrepancies in black-market peptides including samples with concentrations ranging from roughly 40% to 190% of the labelled amount, and one sample containing none of the advertised peptide. That is a very different risk profile from treatment that is clinically evaluated, appropriately prescribed, and medically monitored.

At Elite Health Center NYC, the question isn’t simply “Which peptide?” It’s what is the compound, what evidence supports its use, and is it appropriate for this patient?

Don’t make an injectable decision based on a vial, a label, or a social media recommendation.
