With summer upon us, we want to take a moment to highlight the importance of outdoor playtime for your child’s development. Time in nature has been shown to support children’s:
1) Emotional regulation: Outdoor environments lower stress levels and help children reset and manage big emotions more effectively.
2) Attention and focus: Time outside restores attention and reduces mental fatigue, especially for children with attention challenges.
3) Resilience and problem-solving: Unstructured play encourages flexibility, creativity, and the ability to navigate challenges independently.
4) Physical health: Regular outdoor activity supports healthier sleep patterns, steadier energy levels, and improved overall mood.
