🚨Not every cue is a winner…
But every so often we come up with something that feels unhinged but really works.
It’s easy to be hard on yourself, but at The Neuro Studio we don’t vilify cues. Instead, we teach our teachers to assess why a cue was needed, and why it worked or didn’t, through a sensory integration lens that builds salience for the brain 🧠
Share your favorite cue below and why you love it. Skip the critiques, instead read each one and think critically about what sensory gap it filled.
BONUS points if you make us chuckle. 😄
Want to learn more about The Neuro Studio’s approach to gait training?
Check out our free training, New Ways to Walk Better - Rotation: The Unsung Hero of Gait.
✅ You’ll learn:
🧠 Why cueing rotation without clear sensory strategies can limit results, and reinforce a pattern where the ribcage turns while the pelvis stays quiet
🧠 The “pelvis around the stance leg” concept, and why this rotation can unlock ease in walking
🧠 The X factor: how connecting opposite shoulder to opposite hip brings arm swing back as a result, not a coached command
🧠 Why nothing counts as gait training until it survives standing, loaded, and a little challenged
🧠 Exercises and simple daily movement assignments that actually transfer to real walking
Comment your favorite cue👇 and if you are a bit shy, we get it and you can send us a DM and we can send you the link or you can find it in our bio.
