We work within a family-systems and insight-oriented framework in order to achieve these goals, and are skilled in using play therapy with children.

I know y’all know that the Trans community is watching their rights being stripped away while access to gender-affirming care is under attack. As you might imagine, this is leaving folks feeling terrified.

Transgender folks need access to quality therapy now more than ever, especially therapy provided by clinicians who understand their lived experience.

Help us crowdfund to provide subsidized therapy for transgender clients who might not otherwise afford private therapy, at a fair wage to our trans clinicians.

Trans therapy seekers have the hardest time accessing quality, accessible therapy with therapists who share their lived experience, yet they are the population WHO NEED IT THE MOST.

Trans therapists want to work with Trans therapy seekers, but can’t afford to slide their fee low enough to be accessible AND support themselves.

It’s pretty well documented that we internalize the messages that we’re surrounded by and they become a part of our belief system about ourselves and the world. There’s a whole therapy model, Narrative Therapy, that works off the premise that we can create our reality through the stories we tell ourselves.

There’s a curious thing that happens when we begin to be intentional about the messaging we surround ourselves with. We can actually influence our mood and thoughts and change our brains in ways that feel good or are beneficial to us! I’ve been making and posting these Sonic Spells playlists for a couple of years now with this intention in mind. These playlists can be used at regular intervals (there are roughly 12 monthly full moons a year and 12 monthly new moons a year) to be intentional about the messaging you’re taking in and call in the energy and thoughts that you want. These playlists are inspired by the work of astrologers like and witches like .of.insta as well as by my own love of music, mythology and the arcane. Please enjoy!

This new moon in the mutable air sign of Gemini is ushering in a transition, a reset, a shift. Air carries the message, it clears, it refreshes. Air is transition, but it’s also respiration. Use your breath to bring yourself back to your body to cut out the noise. Let Gemini take you whichever way the wind blows, and then use your breath to find Discernment, you truth, your words from@the center of yourself.

The trans community is living with an unthinkable amount of stress, fear, sadness, pain and panic as our country becomes more and more dystopian, their rights are being stripped away and transphobia makes its way into policy in the most overt and sadistic of ways.

Introducing Alice Mount, LMSW (she/her/hers) to Psychobabble Therapy and Wellness! She’s now accepting new clients!

Alice is an experiential therapist focused on helping clients create change that’s felt, not just understood. Her work is rooted in somatic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches, with an emphasis on the nervous system, relational patterns, and the body. She also enjoys using evidence based practices like DBT and CBT.

Alice likes to keep sessions attuned and grounded to what’s happening in real time in your body, so that our insights may translate into felt emotions and a lighter, clearer experience of life. Alice works well with individuals who are already self-aware but feel stuck, especially those who have done therapy before and are looking for an approach that focuses on embodiment and change, not just intellectualization.

Personally, she enjoys helping people to find their authentic selves. As a q***r and trans woman, she knows the battle of existing in contradiction to society’s expectations of what a life should look like, and she believes that exploring and discovering your own identities, values, wants, and needs is a great cure to feelings of apathy, mundanity, and purposelessness.

Alice offers a space where you don’t have to perform, where you will not be judged, and where change can actually take hold.

This last new moon of 2025, occurring a couple of days before the Winter Solstice is the pause before the ending. It's stillness in the dark of the solstice time. It's time to rest and reflect, time to recalibrate and release in preparation for the next year. I am so excited to offer this half day retreat for clinicians and healers to foster and support reflecting on the past year’s professional journey, releasing what’s no longer aligned to clear space for the work of the coming year, intention setting and visioning for the coming year and building community and support for yourself and your practice.

This half day retreat will take place IN PERSON in Ridgewood, Queens.
