Descripción: El Programa Latino de Liderazgo Religioso de la Comisión Latina Sobre el SIDA presenta esta cumbre para discutir el impacto de las redes sociales en la juventud. Aunque ofrecen un espacio de creatividad y socialización, el uso de las redes sociales también conllevan riesgos como ansiedad, depresión, problemas de sueño y ciberacoso. Adolescentes y jóvenes compartirán cómo las redes influyen en sus vidas, autoestima y relaciones familiares. El evento será virtual y en español.

Este evento está patrocinado por el Departamento de Salud de la Ciudad de Nueva York a través del Consejo Municipal bajo la iniciativa de VIH y Comunidades de Fe.

Mariano Casanova es Licenciado en Psicología con una especialización de posgrado en psicología clínica y psicoterapia. Es cofundador y Director Ejecutivo del Instituto Hispano de Psicología de Nueva York, una organización que ha brindado servicios de terapia a individuos, parejas y familias por más de 20 años. También es docente en el Privates Institut für Systemische Therapie en Berlín, donde imparte cursos sobre psicoterapia. Con más de dos décadas de experiencia, ha liderado numerosas clases y talleres sobre salud mental, adaptación a nuevos entornos y los desafíos de las transiciones de vida.Mariano es colaborador habitual en revistas hispanas de Nueva York, escribiendo sobre temas de vida y salud mental, y colabora con empresas ofreciendo programas de prevención en salud mental y capacitación en habilidades sociales y desarrollo de liderazgo.

Mariano Casanova holds a degree of Licentiate in psychology with a postgraduate specialization in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Instituto Hispano de Psicología of New York, an organization that has been providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and families for more than 20 years. He also lectures at the Privates Institut für Systemische Therapie in Berlin, where he teaches courses on psychotherapy. With over two decades of experience, he has led numerous classes and workshops on mental health, adaptation to new environments, and life-transition challenges. Mariano is also a regular contributor to Hispanic magazines in New York, writing about life and mental health topics, and he collaborates with companies by offering mental-health prevention programs and training in social skills and leadership development.
