PUBLIC CONSUMER UPDATE:
Below is Rachel Richardson’s response to my Better Business Bureau complaint regarding the $710 custom jacket I ordered from House of Parish.
Her response confirms that my order was placed late and that I have not been shown any work on the jacket. Yet, in the very same paragraph, she claims that my statement about not seeing any work is “simply not true.” Both statements cannot be true.
She now claims that my jacket is being completed by “another business in NY named Kathy,” but she has not provided Kathy’s full name, the name of the business, its location, a work order, dated photographs, proof of production, or any other verifiable information.
October was never the original deadline. The completion date shifted from July to August and then to October. I was also previously told that I would receive a refund. That changed once I attempted to collect it, and the jacket was suddenly described as already being in production.
Submitting a response to the BBB does not mean the complaint has been resolved. A future promise, without proof, is still a promise. I have disputed this response and provided the appropriate parties with the documented timeline.
I am sharing this because consumers have a right to make informed decisions. Everything stated here is supported by written communication and records. I will continue using the proper legal and consumer-protection channels until the matter is formally resolved.
Accountability matters.
