Number 1 reason you’re bingeing at night is because you’re not eating enough throughout the day.

That could be intentional or unintentional.

Typically with ADHD it’s unintentional:
- you forget
- you’re hyperfocused and couldn’t be bothered
- you don’t know what to eat - so you don’t eat at all or you resort to takeout

It could also be a combination of just living in a world obsessed with dieting so subconsciously there’s part of you who is restricting as a result of being stuck in the diet mentality.

This is one of the first things we tackle inside Food Freedom with ADHD. Because nothing else works until the basics are covered.

If your days usually look like...

→ wake up overwhelmed by everything on your plate
→ skip breakfast because you’re running behind
→ get caught up helping everyone else
→ push lunch off because you’re busy or not hungry
→ hit a wall around 3 PM
→ rely on caffeine, sugar, and willpower to get through the rest of the day
→ crash on the couch when you get home
..you’re exactly who I created Food Freedom with ADHD for. 💗

You don’t need more discipline.

You need neurodivergent systems that help you consistently fuel your ADHD brain.

Living with ADHD in a world obsessed with dieting can feel overwhelming and exhausting. And I say that as someone who has ADHD, is a dietitian, and struggled with an €ating disorder in my teens and early twenties.

It’s something I’ve lived and it’s something I see every single day with my clients.

Here are a few ways it often shows up ⬇️

🍕 All-or-nothing thinking: Getting stuck in the “good vs bad” or “healthy vs not healthy” mindset.

📊 Hyperfocus on numbers: Calories, macros, or the number on the scale can take over your brain. Instead of tuning into how your body feels, it’s easy to get stuck tracking every detail which feels like control at first but quickly becomes exhausting.

🍫 Impulsivity + restriction: Skipping meals, then swinging into an impulsive binge. Restricting food groups, then craving them even more.

📋 Perfection paralysis: Obsessing over logging every bite perfectly in MyFitnessPal can derail the rest of your day and keep you stuck in planning instead of eating.

😔 Guilt + shame: Diet culture teaches us that eating certain foods means we’re “bad” or that we’ve “failed.” ADHD brains already have a running tape of self-criticism and food guilt just piles on top.

⚡ Quick-fix traps: Juice cleanses, fad diets, 30-day challenges, detoxes…they sound exciting, they give that dopamine hit of a fresh start, but they never last. ADHD brains love novelty which makes these feel irresistible…until they backfire.

💡 None of this is your fault. Diet culture preys on all-or-nothing thinking, impulsivity, and perfectionism. ADHD just amplifies the noise.

✨ That’s why I created Food Freedom with ADHD: to help you break free from this cycle and learn to eat in a way that supports your brain and body.

If figuring out what to make for dinner feels harder than actually making dinner... welcome to ADHD. 😅

One of the biggest mistakes I see ADHDers make is buying ingredients for 10 different meals.

More ingredients = more decisions.
More decisions = more overwhelm.
More overwhelm = takeout.

Instead, try keeping it simple.

These 3 dinners use the same 5 ingredients so you can:
✅ spend less money on groceries
✅ reduce decision fatigue
✅ waste less food
✅ actually use what you buy
✅ make dinner without overthinking it

Because the goal isn’t becoming someone who loves spending hours in the kitchen.

The goal is feeding yourself consistently without dinner feeling like a daily crisis.

This is exactly the kind of ADHD-friendly meal planning system I teach inside Food Freedom with ADHD. 🙌

Save this for the next time you’re staring into your fridge wondering what to eat. 🫠

2️⃣ Actually cooking it

Here’s what happens when a program is actually built for your ADHD brain. ✨

🥳 These are real wins from real clients inside Food Freedom with ADHD.

Folks who came in exhausted by the binge-restrict cycle, constant food thoughts, food noise, executive dysfunction around meal planning and cooking, stimming with food, forgetting to eat all day, food aversions, decision paralysis, and feeling like they were always starting over.

Many of them thought these struggles were just part of who they were.

They weren’t.

What they needed wasn’t another diet, meal plan, or set of food rules.

They needed to understand how their ADHD was impacting their relationship with food and learn practical tools and systems that actually worked with their brain.

The result?

✨ Less bingeing
✨ Less food noise
✨ More energy
✨ More consistency
✨ More confidence
✨ More peace around food

If you see yourself in these screenshots, know that change is possible. 🙌

this might be why your ADHD meds feel like they’re not working… ⬇️

if you’re not eating, your meds literally don’t have what they need to work

your brain needs fuel 🧠
👉to focus
👉to regulate emotions
👉to actually use the medication

but with ADHD (and especially stimulant meds), appetite gets weird. you forget to eat, nothing sounds good, or you just push it off.

then later:
➡️your meds feel like they’re not working
➡️you crash
➡️you feel anxious, irritable, or scattered

this is one of the biggest things I help my clients with inside Food Freedom with ADHD
✅eating consistently (even with low appetite)
✅working with your brain, not against it
✅feeling more stable, focused, energized, and in control

you deserve support that actually works for your brain 🙌
