Are you struggling with deep "muscle knots" that just won't go away?
When a muscle fails to relax, it can create a highly sensitive trigger point that irritates surrounding nerves and causes radiating pain. At New York Pain Medicine, we offer Trigger Point Injections (TPI)—a quick, minimally invasive treatment that delivers localized relief directly to the source of your pain.

By rapidly reducing acute muscle spasms and chronic inflammation, TPI breaks the cycle of chronic pain so you can comfortably engage in a long-term recovery plan like physical therapy.

Ready to find relief from chronic muscle knots and stiffness? Contact New York Pain Medicine today at 212-245-7900 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Douglas Allen and their Midtown East team. Let them help you treat the root of your pain and recover your best life—call today to get started!

What you might actually need is Medical Massage—a targeted, results-oriented therapy designed to treat specific clinical conditions. Unlike general relaxation massage, medical massage is seamlessly integrated into a clinical pain management plan to target the root cause of your discomfort, reduce inflammation, and accelerate your recovery timeline.

We just published a brand-new FAQ blog post breaking down exactly how specialized techniques like myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and trigger point therapy can help you regain mobility and live pain-free.

As the weather warms up and outdoor activity increases, many patients are asking about "next-generation PRP" known as exosome therapy. Exosomes act as cellular messengers that deliver a concentrated payload of growth factors to reduce inflammation and support the natural repair of joints, tendons, and spinal tissue without surgery or downtime.

If you’re struggling with persistent pain, numbness, or weakness in your arms, legs, or spine, getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step toward lasting relief. At New York Pain Medicine, Dr. Douglas Allen uses electrodiagnostic testing—specifically EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)—to identify the root cause of nerve and muscle dysfunction. These tests provide the diagnostic clarity needed to distinguish between nerve compression, disc herniation, or muscle conditions, ensuring your treatment plan is targeted and effective.

Don’t rely on guesswork for your recovery. Contact our Midtown East office today at (212) 371-2929 or visit https://www.newyorkpainmedicine.com to schedule your consultation and find the answers you need to start your comeback.
