Those dark marks might look intimidating on your feed, but it’s probably not what you’re thinking. Cupping isn’t about bruising—it’s about decompression. By creating a vacuum, we lift the skin and fascia away from the muscle. This breaks up deep stagnation, pulls old cellular waste to the surface, and allows a flood of fresh, oxygen-rich blood to rush in.

It doesn’t hurt. It feels like a deep, reverse massage that unloads weight you didn’t even realize you were carrying.
If your back feels tight just reading this, it might be time to book a session. Drop a 🩸 if you’ve tried it, or a 🚫 if you’re still on the fence!

The best way to add fun color to your greens! It’s also a really nice middle-ground green—less harsh than kale and more nourishing overall.

Nature & Flavor

Nature: Slightly cool (leans more neutral than kale)
Flavor: Sweet, slightly bitter
Channel Entry: Liver, Stomach, Large Intestine

1. Nourishes Blood (mildly)

The red coloration + mineral content gives it a slight Blood-tonifying quality
Useful adjunct for mild Blood deficiency (fatigue, dry skin, light-headedness)

2. Clears Heat & Cools Blood

Gentler than kale
Good for low-grade heat, skin issues, irritability

3. Moistens Intestines

More effective than kale for dry constipation, especially in deficient patients

4. Supports Liver Qi flow

Less dispersing than kale, more harmonizing
Good for patients who are stagnant + slightly deficient

🥬Clinical Feel Compared to Kale

Kale: more clearing, dispersing, draining
Chard: more nourishing, moistening, harmonizing

The relationship we build matters. Taking the time to truly understand you—your body, your history, your needs—allows me to support you in a way that’s deeply personal and effective. When you come in, you’re not just another appointment, you’re my priority.

If you’re ready to feel better in your body and be supported in a real, lasting way, I’d love to work with you.

In the 90s, kale had one job — decorating the Pizza Hut salad bar. Not for eating. Just for vibes.
If your energy feels as stuck as a 1995 buffet line, it’s time to eat your kale and move your stagnant qi!

Nature: Slightly cool
Flavor: Bitter
Channel Entry: Liver, Stomach

🥬Functions (TCM perspective)

1. Clears Heat & Cools Blood

Useful for mild Liver heat or Stomach heat patterns
Can help with signs like irritability, red eyes, or inflammatory conditions

2. Promotes Smooth Flow of Liver Qi

Bitter + green → supports Liver regulation
Good adjunct for stress, constraint, rib-side tension

3. Moistens Intestines / Promotes Bowel Movement

Especially when lightly cooked with oil
Helpful in dry constipation (less so for deficiency-type constipation)

4. Supports Digestion (Stomach Qi)

The slight sweetness gives it a mild harmonizing effect
Better tolerated than harsher bitter greens

5. Detox / Resolves Toxicity (modern interpretation)

Falls under the category of foods that clear internal heat and toxicity, especially from a dietary therapy lens
