Seasonal Affective Disorder, SAD, is estimated to affect 10 million Americans, and another 10% to 20% may have mild symptoms.

For adults who have SAD the symptoms can be overwhelming and can interfere with their daily lives.

To combat seasonal affective disorder:

1- walk on the sunny side of the street every morning
2- keep physically, mentally and socially active
3-use a light box for 20 minutes a day
4- use full spectrum bulbs in your home
5- talk therapy and possibly
6- antidepressants, if required
