Every claim here comes from a court ruling, a federal filing, or an agency's own publication.
Here is what did not fit. The cancer case is Roundup, the weedkiller sold by Bayer. In June the Supreme Court ruled that because the EPA never required a cancer warning on the label, people harmed by it cannot sue the company in state court for failing to warn them. That reverses two decades of settled law in which the federal label was treated as a minimum standard states could build on. Bayer has already paid more than ten billion dollars in these cases, and that door is now closed to everyone who comes next.
Five state attorneys general formally opposed the 23andMe sale and the court approved it anyway, which established that genetic data is an asset that transfers with a company like any other. And the Federal Trade Commission found the three largest pharmacy benefit managers pulled 1.4 billion dollars out of a single pricing practice over four years. Those are the same three that decide what your plan will and will not cover.
I could have kept going for twenty more. So tell me yours. What did you find out about your own care, your own coverage, or your own body that made you stop and ask what we are doing here?
