Dr. Jeff Rosenberg Helping high-performing professionals and athletes overcome neck, back, and disc-related pain without surgery. Precision chiropractic care in Midtown Manhattan.

One-on-one visits. Results-driven approach. I had a bad accident when I was 15. Nothing helped, so against the wishes of my parents I tried a chiropractor. It was the only thing that helped me out. After the fifth visit I decided this is what I wanted to do- give back.

“THAT’S THE SWEET SPOT.” 🎯

If your neck feels tight, stiff, or constantly tense, sometimes a basic stretch—or another quick snap, crack and pop—isn’t what you’re looking for.

Here I’m using Active Release Technique (ART) to work directly into the tight and painful soft tissue. Instead of simply stretching the neck, I’m contacting the restricted tissue and taking it through movement to help improve mobility and reduce muscular tension.

This can be especially helpful for people dealing with:

• Neck pain and stiffness
• Tech neck from looking down at phones
• Tight muscles from sitting at a desk all day
• Stress and tension from long hours at a computer
• Athletes who want better mobility and recovery

If you work in Midtown Manhattan and your neck always feels tight, restricted, or like stretching just isn’t getting the job done, Active Release Technique may be the kind of hands-on treatment you’ve been looking for.

And judging by the final reaction…

“WOW.” 😳

Woke up with a stiff neck that just won’t loosen up 🫪?

That’s exactly what happened to GYMKATIE | NYC Fitness

After waking up a few weeks ago with significant neck stiffness, she knew it was time to come in.

We used Cox technique cervical spinal decompression to gently reduce pressure on the discs, joints and nerves of the neck. During treatment, she said moving her neck around felt “so good”—and by her fifth visit, she reported that her neck felt so much better.

We also incorporated RockBlade soft-tissue therapy to work on tight muscles and restrictions around the neck and shoulders. As someone who is avid in the gym, she described RockBlade treatment as “absolutely essential” and a must for her routine.

If you’re dealing with neck pain, neck stiffness, tight muscles, limited range of motion or recurring discomfort and you’ve already tried stretching, massage, chiropractic care or physical therapy, a combination of spinal decompression and targeted soft-tissue treatment may offer a different approach.

At Rosenberg Wellness Center in Midtown Manhattan, we work with busy professionals, athletes and active people who want more than a quick adjustment.

Less pressure. Better movement. A more complete approach to neck pain.

If you have neck pain and you’re relying on medication, a quick chiropractic adjustment, or physical therapy—but you’re still hurting—there may be something you’re missing.

One of those things is taking pressure off the discs, joints, and nerves in your neck.

That’s where spinal decompression comes in.

Spinal decompression is a safe, gentle technique designed to reduce pressure on the discs, joints, and nerves while helping improve mobility and relieve neck pain.

If sitting at a computer all day, looking down at your phone, training hard, or dealing with daily stress is beating up your neck, spinal decompression may be another option worth exploring.

“I NEED YOU TO GET IN THERE — I HAVE KNOTS IN THERE.” 😳

If your neck feels tight, restricted, or loaded with stubborn “knots,” sometimes a quick adjustment alone isn’t what those muscles need.

Here I’m using Active Release Technique (ART) and instrument-assisted soft tissue work with a RockBlade to work through areas of muscular tension and restriction in the neck and upper trapezius.

As Viktoriya Avramchuk moves her ear toward her shoulder, she can feel the stretch travel all the way up toward her forehead and skull — showing just how connected the muscles and soft tissues of the neck can be.

Then comes the moment she’s been waiting for:

“You just went over a knot.”

And after treatment?

“I can move my neck without any issues.”

If you’re dealing with neck tightness, limited mobility, muscle knots, or stiffness from long hours at a desk, intense training, Pilates, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, weightlifting, or everyday stress, Active Release Technique may be a different approach worth exploring.

If you’re waking up with headaches every day, the problem may involve more than what you’re feeling in your head.

Tight, restricted muscles and soft tissues in the neck, shoulders, and upper back may contribute to certain types of headaches—especially when you spend hours at a computer, looking down at your phone, training hard, or carrying tension through your neck and shoulders.

That’s where Active Release Technique® (ART) comes in.

Active Release Technique is a targeted soft-tissue treatment designed to address restricted muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and areas of nerve entrapment. There are more than 20 individual ART treatment protocols that may be used when evaluating and treating the soft tissues associated with headache and neck tension.

For desk workers, executives, athletes, weightlifters, runners, golfers, Pilates enthusiasts, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners, repetitive stress can build up in muscles such as the upper trapezius, levator scapulae, suboccipitals, and other structures surrounding the neck.

If you keep waking up with headaches and constantly feel like your neck and shoulders are tight, it may be time to look at the physical structures that could be contributing to the problem.

“I COULDN’T DO THIS IN CLASS TODAY… I FELT LIKE MY SHOULDER WAS GONNA RIP OFF.” 😳

That’s what Zach told me after suddenly realizing how much better his neck and shoulder were moving.

But what changed?

If your neck and shoulders constantly feel tight, restricted, or “stuck” after sitting at a desk, training at the gym, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Pilates, or spending hours looking at a computer or phone, sometimes the problem involves more than just the joints.

In this treatment, I use a RockBlade for instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to work on restricted areas of Zach’s trapezius and surrounding soft tissue.

The temporary redness and pinpoint discoloration you may notice can occur with this type of instrument-assisted treatment as superficial tissues are mechanically stimulated.

And Zach Bergfelt reaction afterward says a lot:

“OH WOW.”

More neck mobility.
More shoulder mobility.
And a movement that felt terrible in class earlier that SAME DAY felt dramatically different after treatment.

This is why chiropractic care doesn’t always have to be just a quick “snap, crack, and pop.”

For patients dealing with neck pain, shoulder tightness, trapezius tension, restricted mobility, or muscle stiffness, soft-tissue treatment may be an important part of the equation.

Whether you’re a busy professional sitting at a desk all day, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, a Pilates enthusiast, a gym-goer, or simply someone tired of constantly stretching and rubbing a tight neck and shoulder, treatment should be based on what’s actually restricting your movement.

🚨 Still relying on a quick “snap, crack, and pop” for your lower back pain?

There may be another option.

In this video, I’m performing Cox technique spinal decompression—a gentle, non-surgical treatment designed to help reduce pressure on the spinal discs, joints, and nerves.

Many people with lower back pain, sciatica, disc herniations, bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, or pinched nerves have never heard of spinal decompression. Instead of using a forceful adjustment, this treatment carefully creates space within the spine to reduce compression and improve movement.

The best part?

After her treatment, my patient smiled and said she felt:

✅ “Excellent.”
✅ “Looser.”
✅ “Taller.”

Every patient is different, and results vary based on your condition, examination, and diagnosis. But if you’ve been searching for a different approach because traditional treatments haven’t given you the relief you’re looking for, spinal decompression may be worth exploring.

If you spend long hours sitting at a desk, commuting, lifting weights, playing sports, or simply wake up with persistent lower back pain, it’s important to understand all of your treatment options.

Many people think chiropractic care is just a quick “snap, crack, and pop.”

But when tight muscles and restricted fascia are contributing to your neck pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility, addressing the joints alone may not be enough.

In this video, I explain why treating the soft tissues is often an important part of helping professionals and desk workers find lasting relief. Long hours at a computer, stressful workdays, poor posture, and daily commuting can create tightness throughout the neck, shoulders, and upper back that may continue to pull on the spine.

Using Active Release technique together with evidence-informed chiropractic care, my goal is to help reduce restrictions, improve movement, and support your body’s natural healing process—so you’re not just feeling better temporarily, but working toward lasting improvement.

At the end of this video, you’ll hear my patient’s own reaction after treatment.

If you work near Midtown Manhattan, Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, or Midtown East and you’re looking for more than a temporary fix for neck pain, muscle tightness, poor posture, headaches, or stiffness from sitting all day, there may be treatment options beyond a simple spinal adjustment.

Tight muscles around your shoulder blade can affect more than you realize.

If you spend long hours at a desk, work at a computer, commute into Midtown Manhattan, or train hard in the gym, those muscles surrounding your scapula (shoulder blade) can become tight, restricted, and overworked.

This tension may contribute to upper back discomfort, shoulder stiffness, reduced mobility, muscle fatigue, and difficulty performing at your best.

In this video, I perform Active Release Technique® (ART)—a precise, hands-on soft tissue treatment system featuring more than 500 specialized treatment protocols designed to identify and treat tight muscles, scar tissue, and movement restrictions.

Whether your muscle tightness comes from long workdays, poor posture, repetitive movements, stress, weight training, golf, tennis, running, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or other athletic activities, restoring healthy muscle function can help improve comfort and movement.

At the end of today’s treatment, my patient summed it up perfectly:

“I feel so much better.”

Every patient is unique, and treatment recommendations are based on your examination, health history, and clinical findings.

It already feels much looser.”

That’s exactly what my patient said after today’s treatment.

Many people assume neck pain only comes from the joints. But in reality, tight, restricted muscles and fascia can play a significant role—especially if you spend hours at a computer, commute into Manhattan every day, train in the gym, or carry stress in your neck and shoulders.

In this video, I use a RockBlade® instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique to address areas of muscular restriction and fascia that may be limiting normal movement. Some patients experience temporary redness afterward, which can be a normal response to treatment.

We also focused on the muscles in the front of the neck—an area that’s frequently overlooked but can become tight from prolonged desk work, poor posture, and repetitive daily activities.

At the end of the treatment, I asked my patient how she felt.

Her answer?

“It feels much looser.”

Every patient is different, and treatment recommendations are based on a thorough examination, health history, and clinical findings.
