**WHERE STRESS LIVES: THE FOREHEAD ✨**

And just like that… we’ve reached the final stop in the series. ☀️

The forehead is constantly moving with us—raising, frowning, squinting, concentrating, reacting. And sometimes, without realizing it, we keep those muscles “on” long after the moment has passed.

In this reel, I’m working through three key areas:

✨ **Frontalis** — gentle upward gliding to release tension across the forehead
✨ **Procerus** — softening the space between the brows
✨ **Corrugator** — releasing that inner-brow “frown” tension and gliding outward

Then I finish by sculpting along the brow line with my gua sha. 🤎

This isn't about never making a facial expression. It's about becoming aware of where you hold tension—and giving your body permission to let some of it go.

Take a breath.
Unclench your jaw.
Soften your brow.
Release what you've been carrying.

**Stress → Release → Lift**

And if you've followed this entire series, thank you for coming along with me. ✨

Now you know a little more about **Where Stress Lives**—and, more importantly, how you can begin to release it.

LET’S TALK FOREHEAD TENSION.

Three muscles worth getting familiar with: the frontalis, corrugator, and procerus.
They help create our expressions, but when we repeatedly raise our brows, squint, frown, or hold tension in our face, these muscles can become part of the tension we carry.

✨ Frontalis — helps lift the eyebrows and creates those horizontal forehead lines.
✨ Corrugator — located around the inner brows and helps draw the brows inward and downward.
✨ Procerus — sits between the brows and helps pull the brow area downward.

The goal isn't to stop yourself from making expressions. It's simply to become aware of where you're holding tension and learn how to let it go.

Save this post for your next facial release ritual. 🤎

We’ve made our way through the places where we tend to carry tension, and we’ve finally reached the forehead. ✨

The forehead may seem simple, but there’s a lot happening beneath the surface. The muscles here are constantly working with our expressions—raising the brows, frowning, squinting, concentrating, and reacting to stress.
Sometimes we don’t even realize how much tension we’re holding until we intentionally pause and release it.

So take a breath.
Soften your brow.
Let your forehead relax. 🤎

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me why I love this work. ✨

I took a little trip to Kennett Square, PA for two live classes, and I enjoyed every part of the experience — from the charming scenery and small-town charm, to the beautiful aesthetics of the massage studio, to meeting new, kind people along the way. 🌿

I had the opportunity to network with like-minded massage therapists, learn something new, exchange knowledge, and connect with people who understand the passion behind this work.

And one of my favorite parts? **Finally getting on the table myself.** 🤎 As massage therapists, we spend so much time caring for others that it felt really good to slow down, receive, relax, and experience the work from the other side.

Grateful for new experiences, new connections, continued learning, and moments that remind me to pour back into myself, too. ✨

Here’s to always being a student, staying curious, and growing both personally and professionally. 🌸

📚✨ Class dump!

Spent the day getting CPR certified with my good friend lollixo_ ❤️

As a massage therapist, staying current with my certifications isn't just about meeting requirements—it's about making sure every client is in safe, knowledgeable hands.

I'm always investing in my education so I can continue providing the best care possible. Every class, every certification, and every new skill is another step toward becoming the therapist I strive to be.

Here's to learning, growing, laughing through class together, and checking another milestone off the list. 🌿☀️

✨ Where does stress live? ✨

Sometimes it shows up as a busy mind… but sometimes it settles into the places we don’t even realize we’re holding tension.

The scalp is one of those places. 🤍

Through my **Stress Release Lift Method**, I’m focusing on areas like the temporalis, suboccipitals, scalp fascia (galea aponeurotica), and frontalis to help soften tension patterns, encourage relaxation, and create a moment of reconnection with your body.

Your jaw, face, and scalp all work together — and when we slow down and give these areas attention, we allow ourselves space to release.

This is more than a massage… it’s a ritual of relaxation, renewal, and coming back home to yourself. ☀️✨

Where do you feel stress show up most in your body?

The Scalp Holds More Tension Than Most People Realize.

Three key areas involved in scalp tension:

✨ Occipitalis – Located at the base of the skull. Often associated with headaches, neck tension, and stress held in the back of the head.

✨ Temporalis – Found at the temples. This muscle is heavily involved in chewing and can become overworked from jaw clenching and teeth grinding.

✨ Galea Aponeurotica – A broad layer of connective tissue that spans the top of the scalp, linking the muscles of the forehead and back of the head.

When these areas become tense, you may notice:
• Headaches
• Scalp tenderness
• Jaw tension
• Mental fatigue
• Difficulty relaxing

Awareness is the first step toward release. ✨

Where Stress Lives: The Scalp ✨

We often think of stress as something we carry in our shoulders, jaw, or neck—but it can live in the scalp too.

Tension in the scalp can contribute to headaches, jaw discomfort, mental fatigue, and that feeling of always being "on."

The scalp isn't just hair. It's a layer of muscles and connective tissue that responds to stress, emotion, and tension throughout the body.

This week, we're exploring how stress shows up in the scalp and how releasing it can help create a sense of calm from the inside out.

Stress has a way of closing us in.

It can round our shoulders, shorten our breath, and leave us carrying tension we didn't even realize was there.

In this Chest Release session, I focus on three areas that commonly contribute to upper body tension:

✨ Pectoralis Major – Creating space across the chest.
✨ Pectoralis Minor – Encouraging softer shoulders and improved posture.
✨ Subclavius – An often overlooked muscle beneath the collarbone that can quietly hold tension.

Sometimes, stress isn't asking us to do more—it's asking us to slow down, breathe deeper, and come back to ourselves.

This is your reminder to:

• Inhale deeply.
• Relax your shoulders.
• Unclench your jaw.
• Exhale slowly.

Because creating space in the body can create space in the mind. 🤍
