🐾 Myth: Dogs with a slipped disc just need rest.
Rest is important, but it isn’t always the whole answer.
Research on Class IV laser therapy (photobiomodulation) has shown promising benefits for dogs with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) when used alongside appropriate veterinary care.

💡 How does it work?
A Class IV laser delivers specific wavelengths of light deep into the tissues. This light stimulates the mitochondria (the “power plants” of cells), increasing ATP production, which gives damaged cells more energy to repair themselves while also helping calm inflammation.
⚠️ Laser therapy is not a replacement for a veterinary examination, imaging, surgery (when needed), or chiropractic care. But when it’s part of a comprehensive treatment plan, it can be a valuable tool to help your dog recover more comfortably and efficiently.
