Victoria and Owen, along with their 8-month old , Frannie, recently came to Heartbeats for a free limited first-trimester ultrasound.

Victoria shared how much they appreciated the kindness of our staff and how informative her visit was.

Victoria and Owen have also enrolled in our Bridges program, where we’ll continue walking alongside their growing family in the months ahead.

Please join us in welcoming Hannah Schaller to the Heartbeats family as our new Pregnancy Center Coordinator!

Hannah brings a heart for ministry, a love for people, and a genuine desire to serve her community. We are so thankful God has led her to Heartbeats, and we know her compassion, enthusiasm, and faith will be a tremendous blessing to our clients, staff, and community.

Here’s a little more about Hannah in her own words:

“It is an honor to be a part of this amazing Heartbeats team! It brings me so much joy to serve through Heartbeats and connect with people I may never have otherwise had the chance to meet. There is no doubt in my mind that God has been ordering the steps that brought me to this team and to these people.

I recently graduated from college with dual majors in Human Services and Christian Ministries, as well as a minor in Pastoral Counseling. During the last four years, I attended school in St. Louis, Missouri, and was given the opportunity to travel to many other states through internships and school events.

I love traveling, spending time with friends and family, and connecting at my home church. I will rarely say no to coffee or an impromptu weekend trip! I look forward to all God is going to do, and I am blessed with the opportunity to be a small part of it!”

We’re so excited to have Hannah on the team and look forward to all God will do through her as we continue building a culture of life and sharing hope, help, and healing with our community.

Thank you to First Baptist Church of Newark for inviting Heartbeats to participate in the Consuming Fire Music Festival. We enjoyed the music and loved having the opportunity to connect with so many people throughout the evening. We also spotted a couple members of the next generation of pro-life superheroes! The Heartbeats superhero capes were a big hit with the kids, and we loved seeing these two proudly wearing theirs! We’re so grateful for opportunities to be out in our community, building relationships and celebrating the gift of LIFE together.

Charlotte brings a heart for ministry, a passion for serving others, and valuable experience in pregnancy center work. We are so thankful God has led her to Heartbeats, and we know the compassion, wisdom, and leadership she brings will be a tremendous blessing to our clients, staff, and community.

Here's a little more about Charlotte in her own words:

"I am incredibly blessed to be a part of this ministry that is so close to the heart of Jesus. Heartbeats’ mission of hope fills me with excitement and joy for the community it serves. It truly is a beacon of light in this often dark and chaotic world. After working as an office manager in pregnancy center ministry for the last few years, I am humbled by this new opportunity to share God’s love with people who are navigating challenging decisions and often feel very alone. The Heartbeats team is filled with women and men who sincerely care for each person walking through the door with the love and grace of Jesus. I can’t wait to learn from their example.

I am a graduate of Thomas Edison State University with an ASBA of Business Administration. I get to be the proud aunt of seventeen beautiful nieces and nephews. When I’m not holding babies and reading board books, I enjoy writing, painting, baking, drinking coffee, and fellowshipping with my Wednesday night Bible study group."

Heartbeats is looking for caring, compassionate volunteers to join our team in Newark and Zanesville, and we have several opportunities available right now!

NEWARK
- Client Consultants — Wednesdays & Saturdays
- Receptionist — Thursdays, 4–7 PM

ZANESVILLE
- Mondays — 2–7 PM
- Thursdays — 10 AM–3 PM

While full-shift volunteers are especially helpful, we understand that schedules can be busy. If you’re able to serve for a 2–3 hour block, we’d still love to talk with you about available opportunities.

For those interested in becoming a Client Consultant, our upcoming LOVE Approach training will be held on three Saturdays: September 19, October 3, October 17

Sometimes, the first glimpse changes everything... When Kaitlin came to Heartbeats, she received an initial consultation and her first ultrasound. That moment gave her the opportunity to see her baby for the very first time.

Now, she’s holding sweet Alexis in her arms.

Looking back on her experience, Kaitlin shared that she is grateful to Heartbeats for “providing this first look at her baby” and described her experience with us as “so so positive.”

And her message to our team? “So grateful for all you do.”
