Saint James Health is a community health center located in the West Ward of Newark, NJ. Our goal is to bring comprehensive primary care to the community in a setting that is comfortable and accommodating to all visitors of Saint James Health. All our services are currently offered in English, Creole Spanish, and Portuguese, we accept all insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid as well as self-pay.

💙 Bringing Healthcare Directly Into Our Community 💙

Saint James Health was honored to welcome U.S. Senator Andy Kim to our clinic at East Side High School in Newark for a firsthand look at how school-based healthcare can help remove barriers and bring essential services closer to the people who need them.

Opened in partnership with RWJBarnabas Health in August 2024, our East Side High School location represents our shared commitment to expanding access to quality, community-based care. The clinic provides primary care services, including pediatrics, adult medicine,and physicals, along with support from Community Health Workers and social workers and assistance with insurance enrollment.

By bringing healthcare into trusted community spaces, we can meet patients where they are, connect families with critical resources, and help build healthier futures throughout Newark.

We are grateful to Senator Andy Kim for taking the time to visit, learn more about this important model of care, and see the impact being made in our community. We are equally grateful for our continued partnership with RWJBarnabas Health and everyone who works each day to make accessible, compassionate healthcare a reality.

Saint James Health is delighted to welcome Nadege Louis, FNP-BC, APRN, as our newest Family Nurse Practitioner.

Nadege brings extensive experience in primary care, pediatrics, women's health, and nursing leadership, along with more than eight years of clinical experience caring for patients in labor and delivery, newborn care, telemetry, and acute care settings. Her compassionate, patient-centered approach and dedication to improving health outcomes make her an outstanding addition to our team.

Throughout her career, Nadege has worked closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care, educate patients, and manage chronic conditions. Her expertise, combined with her commitment to delivering exceptional care, reflects the values that define Saint James Health.

Fluent in French and Haitian Creole, Nadege will help us better serve the diverse communities that trust Saint James Health with their care, ensuring more patients can receive high-quality healthcare in a language they understand.

Nadege will primarily see patients on the 4th Floor at our 228 Lafayette Street location, where she looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and families.

💙 Please Join Us in Welcoming Jessica Thimmel, FNP, APRN, to the Saint James Health Family! 💙

Saint James Health is excited to welcome Jessica Thimmel, FNP, APRN, as our newest Family Nurse Practitioner.

Jessica brings a wealth of experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, critical care transport, and acute care nursing, along with a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Her diverse clinical background and collaborative approach make her an outstanding addition to our growing team.

Most recently, Jessica served as a Family Nurse Practitioner with DispatchHealth, providing comprehensive in-home care and managing a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. She has also cared for patients as a Specialty Care Transport and Rapid Response Nurse with The Valley Hospital, demonstrating excellence in some of healthcare's most demanding environments.

Jessica is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and has been recognized for her leadership and dedication to advancing nursing practice and patient care.

As part of the Saint James Health family, Jessica will initially provide care across multiple Saint James Health locations, helping us continue our mission of expanding access to high-quality, compassionate healthcare for the communities we proudly serve.
