Hey Beasties❣️ Long Time no post. Just wanted to share something. Many are wondering about fast and slow reps moderate to heavy.
The tempo of your lifting activates different muscle types slow movements (slow twitch) which increases endurance and connective tissue strength. This reduces joint stress. fast movements (fast twitch) good for power and speed but also improves strength. Grows the muscle faster than slow twitch. Both are good for different reasons. Both are good for strength and slow reps are very good for metabolic response (burning fat, energy increase).
Slow reps with moderate to heavy weights can build strength and help you to build your form(body posture during movements). Fast movements should be done if you are assuring your form is not compromised to avoid injury. Consistency, recovery, & form are what brings everything together. Hope this answers some questions some may have.
Don’t forget to move your body today🧬💪🏾
