🌟 June Employee Spotlight: Cayla Bradley 🌟

This month, we are excited to recognize Cayla Bradley, HR Director at Flint Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation!

For the past four years, Cayla has been a dedicated member of the Flint Ridge team, bringing positivity, compassion, and a strong sense of community to those around her. She enjoys being able to make people smile and help resolve any issues they may face, creating a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.

Cayla values the friendships she has built with her coworkers and describes the culture at Flint Ridge as one where everyone feels a true sense of belonging. What motivates her most each day is the opportunity to support the residents and her team.

One of Cayla’s favorite memories is the facility cookouts and water fights, where residents and staff came together to laugh, have fun, and create lasting memories.

Five years ago, we gathered a small group of Veterans together at the VFW in Newark — maybe 15 or 20 people, a little food, a little conversation, and honestly… no real idea what this luncheon would someday become. ❤️

Fast forward to today, and the Licking County Veterans Luncheon has grown into a room filled with nearly 100 Veterans and their loved ones every single month. What started with one small raffle prize has turned into tables full of gifts, laughter echoing across the room, stories being shared like old friends, and enough good-natured teasing to keep everyone young. ☺️

Our 50/50 raffle now averages $300–$400 each month, and throughout the year we save half for this special anniversary luncheon. This year, we were honored to bless 12 Veterans with $100 each — and seeing the excitement and joy on their faces never gets old. 😂

But the real gift has never been the prizes. It’s the handshakes, the hugs, the friendships, and the stories shared around the room. It’s seeing someone walk in carrying the weight of life and leave smiling a little brighter than before.

As we gathered together over Memorial Day weekend, we also took time to remember the heroes who never made it home — the brave men and women whose sacrifices gave us the freedom to gather together in fellowship today. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Deena from The Pines at Buckeye Ridge for being our guest speaker, to all of our incredible sponsors, and a very special thank you to Heritage Catering — Todd Slone and Larry Wise — for the delicious Lee’s Pot Pies everyone was still talking about afterward! 🥧☺️

Five years later, this luncheon has become so much more than a meal — it has become family. ❤️
